Some people on this board are right Jerryh has class, sometimes we agree and sometimes
we don't but at least he has class and a point for his position.
Why would we contribute to a sick planet, well the idea is to use our discussion skills in life to
make the world a better place where possible. We contribute to a world full of contradictions
because it is the only world there is at the moment. Have you gazed out in space lately? How
many other planets do you see teaming with life.
For your information I am not crazy about war either, over the last century we lost a hell of a lot
of relatives sometimes however, there is no choice when and where it is time to defend even the
concept of democracy. Below I would like to relate something on an old postcard sent to my late
mother many years ago. It came from her aunt, this is before I was born.
The front is a seashore scene of a little fishing village Whitehead Nova Scotia. On the back it is
written on Sept 23 1943 It is from Auntie. She lists four letters she got during the week including
one from my dad who was overseas. At one point she says Bob is missing, we all feel very bad
about this, we are hoping and praying he will turn up.
Well Bob did turn up, at least his dog tags did. Bob was dead. When you look at this, you
realize, these missing in action things are becoming common place with families who have to
wait and sometimes people waited until their time on earth ended without an answer.
I can understand, those who don't believe in war or killing, I firmly believe every possible alternative
should be found, but at some point, you can't allow the Nazis, fascists, and Taliban to simply
run rough sh awed over the earth. There is a time to say enough is enough.
