Since you regrettably do not have an imagination let me attempt to penetrate your concrete brain bucket. The flu was manufactured because that is more efficient than waiting for the wild variety. That's called 'building a market' a practice that is very popular among those entrepenurinal exponents who may wish to sell products to an unsuspecting docile public who are convinced that everything wrapped in plastic is safe reliable and effective because we have inspectors and regulators who work in the publics best interest. Better to get the flu than punch the junk into your veins. Once the immune system is suppressed by vaccination you may catch just about anything. You are obviously in favour of promoting drug abuse. ;-)

You've been reading too many comic books D.B.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You bastard, who told you that I was not allowed to read comics when I was young and why in the name of god would you choose to bait and torture me at this time in my tortured life when recovery was within reach, a person whom you have an casual relationship with and whom bears you no malicious intent whatsoever? It has become apparent to me and other gentle souls affiliated with this forum that a move is afoot to impose the mechanisms of divisive unreasonable ideological practices for the express purposes of entertaining forbidden pleasure in the pain of and at the enormous expense in writhing agony of unwitting and innocent persons such as myself. And all because I wanted to share a warning on the perils of drug abuse with my fellows. Shame on you. If I was a lesser organism I would council you to partake of as many vaccines as possible but an overpowering love for mankind stays my hand and keeps my tongue behind my teeth. you have ruined my day and I must have smoke, may god save your blackened heart

So, like I said in the other thread, if you don't want the H1N1 flu, don't get the shot for regular flu. If you think you are safe from the H1N1 then get the regular shot. If you are indecisive, panicky, etc. don't get any shot. If you already had the regular shot, hope that you don't contract H1N1.
As far as the rest of it goes, it's politics and inflammatory newsmedia as usual.

I think there is a lot of B.S. making the rounds. Nothing is 100% safe, but I've had regular flu shots for over 20 years and have never contracted anything from them. I had both the flu shot and the Hiney this year and have stayed healthy except for a cold. Everyone else I know has suffered no ill effects either. How much of the news do we get these days that is "manufactured"?:lol::lol:

It's hard to say how much is manufactured. This might help, though:

create the problem, sell the solution, collect de gold, who cares about the dead, they are replaceable consumer units

So it maybe a lab experiment gone wild, not really important at the moment. The H1N1 has a vaccine that gives one immunity. Still better than the alternative. If this was some potentially deadly new plague that got loose and there was a way to protect yourself, would you still take a chance? I am not debating whether H1N1 is natural or not, it is here and potentially deadly to some. Vaccine is free, at least down here it is.

Me too, both flu shots and just one cold. (knock wood) Worst case, we got stuck with a needle.

Surely then you could offer the link or another to the reputable medical information of which you obviously are a principal party. Take no slight as none whatever is intended. We must all follow the rules of investigative journalism to the letter as covered in the most recent interdepartmental memo even now making the rounds of our towering educational edifice.

I which yu! I took my elderberry tincture and I didn't even get a cold. But I encourage people to get vaccinated. There are too many peoples taking up space on this rock.

I shook my Dad's antique shaman's rattle and didn't catch anything.

darkbeaver, This alone makes H1N1 something to worry about, as I mentioned, it may not be a natural occurring flu strain, but somehow 3-4 strains managed to combine to form what we know as H1N1. I am not a biologist so I cannot say how this happened, but it does happen from time to time in nature and of course could be done in a lab. There is really nothing to debate about it, I do know that no one should take this lightly.

Vaccine

Existing vaccines against seasonal flu provide no protection. Vaccines were released in North America in late October. Production may be 3 billion doses per year rather than the earlier estimate of 5 billion.
Swine Flu H1N1 Vaccine

Cliffy, Nothing wrong with taking elderberry tincture if it works, there are probably lots of things in nature that would work as well or maybe better than what they concoct up in a lab.

I weighed a few thousands of years of success against an unproven vaccine and the answer was obvious to me.;-)

What a vivid imagination you have. If you had more discipline you could be a great novelist of fiction.

Can't be bothered. Besides why are you getting your shorts in a knot??? Are you that thin skinned?

'They' are the newscasts.

Edit: Check wikipedia....

I clicked on your wikipeia link but nothing happened. Oh, maybe you have nothing?
Thanks for your insight or whatever that was but I'll stick with Tonnington's educated research on this one if that's ok?

WHO Appoints H1N1 Cover-Up Committee

Wednesday, 14 April 2010 07:32

Reports that the WHO is appointing an 'independent' committee to investigate its own conduct in the H1N1 panic of 2009 has been tempered by the fact that one of the committee's members, John Mackenzie, was in fact one of the advisors who urged the WHO to declare a pandemic in the first place. He also has ties to vaccine manufacturers, making him part of the very charge being investigated: that the WHO relied on advisors with a financial interest in declaring a pandemic regardless of the facts on the ground.'
