Maybe if people had been less anti-semitic over the years, Palestinians wouldn't be so oppressed today. But the worst atrocities committed against Jews so far were committed by Europeans. Even Canada has a shameful history of anti-Semiticism. Historically, the Ottoman empire was far less anti-Semitic than European and most other Arab/Muslim countries. Jews were welcome to live in Palestine until Zionists arrived. Iran is among the least anti-Semitic Muslim countries. Jews in Iran have special rights and privilidges that other ethnic minorities lack. Anti-Zionism in Iran is another issue

Meanwhile the Zionist ethnic cleansing war continues. Name a decade in the last 60 years and I name an event where Zionists cleansed thousands from their homes, committed a war crime or a crime against humanity. Until this war ends with a peaceful resolution its still the same war.

Israel bought peace with Egypt and Jordan using hundreds of billions in US tax dollars. Technically Lebanon and Syria are still at war with Israel.

The people who had the misfortune of living on land G-D gave to Jews also never signed a peace agreement with Israel. Technically they're also still at war. The Zionists have beaten them repeatedly. Palestinians refuse to accept any arrangement which legitimizes their oppression. Zionists have screwed these people over, for more than 60 years now. Each day they loose a few more rights, a little more land, a few more are imprisoned, tortured and assassinated. Meanwhile the Palestinian birth rate increases.

Now that the internet exists, the Zionists are losing their ability to control what people know and as a result what people think. 1.5 billion Arabs and Muslims watch al Jazeera regularly. Most are fully aware of the unrelenting cruelty Israel imposes on Palestinians. The knowledge is even spreading among Canadians and Americans. Soon Israel's "measured" responses will no longer have "unshakable" support. When Israel looses the billions in annual American military and economic support, the regime will collapse. I wonder how Americans will react when they realize that they've spend over $100 Billion over the years to help Israel slaughter innocent civilians?

A Conservative Estimate of Total Direct U.S. Aid to Israel: Almost $114 Billion

Sooner or later Americans have to start asking why they are spending so much money to help Israel commit war crimes and crimes against humanity.

“Remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it, ALWAYS.”

BTW, from my post above:

...Israel’s line, asserted time after time by its official military and political spin doctors, was that Hamas broke the cease-fire and was therefore responsible for the war. Hamas did not break the cease-fire. Israel did, on 4 November. Two of Israel’s newspapers - Ha’aretz and Yediot Ahronot - are among the prime sources of that truth. (Despite the fact of Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip, collective punishment in all but name and a crime against humanity, Hamas not only kept the cease-fire until provoked by Israel, it was also, again contrary to Israel’s assertions, ready and willing to re-new the cease-fire on condition that Israel ended the blockade)....

This is bull****.

Israel killed Hamas militants digging a tunnel in an attempt to infiltrate into Israel.

israel has the right to defend itself.

Hamas' attempt to infiltrate was a violation of the treaty.

As well, although rocket fire diminished greatly during the truce, it never stopped. Hamas never managed to completely stop attacks on Israel from the area in its control, therefore Hamas was constantly in violation of the truce.

As for truce, I have NO idea why Israel even bothers, as Hamas refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist, and will not make peace, it will only sign very te,porary truces, otherwise known as "a pause to reload".

Okay, I'm back.....

Here it is, the facts. read 'em and weep, Islamo-fascist supporters.....
-- Hamas
.--but NO, Hamas was not interested in peace,

Israel is quite far to be interested in that concept.

--Islamo-fascism
--they elected Hamas....dumb move, eh?

Well canadians elected Harper, so what is the differences?

--.but the facts are:
--Hamas does not recognize the right of Israel to exist.

Israel doesnt recognize the right to exist for every palestinians, so what is the differences?

--Hamas is not interested in peace as long as Israel exists.

As i can see Israel isnt interested either as long as the palestinians are alive.

--Fully responsible.

Absolutly, it is the Hamas leader who called the Israelis high military commander and tell them, "hey please attack us"

It is very well known , that people in general love to be bombed by the 4th greatest military force on earth.

Death to Hamas.
Deal with it.
This stuff pisses me off.
I'm tired of scum using the deaths of children for political ends.

Ok, i can see you have a greath solution, however have you ever asked yourself that question?

Why Israel(mossads=Peaceful agency who distributes chocolate flowers to people in needs) has funded Hamas in the first place, when Arafat was in Power?

And the thing I don't get is Hamas' leader said this very clearly. They don't want peaceful coexistence. They only accept truces in order to survive until they are strong enough to wipe Israelis out. At least he's honest, but I don't understand why people think the Israeli government should be nice to them.

Jews were welcome to live in Palestine until Zionists arrived.

Jews welcome to live in Judea. They should be so grateful.

The people who had the misfortune of living on land G-D gave to Jews also never signed a peace agreement with Israel. Technically they're also still at war.

I never signed a peace agreement with Canada. I guess if I blow up people down the street, that makes me a freedom fighter.

Yup, they're not the only ones.....

Jihad Watch: On Al-Jazeera, Kuwaiti professor suggests a biological attack on White House

When Israel looses the billions in annual American military and economic support, the regime will collapse.

And that will be the end of Palestine. Then the world will be accused of crimes against humanity for not evacuating Palestinians out of Palestine.

If you don't know the difference between Harper and Hamas, you should go and do some reading before you come to this thread and post. We wouldn't want people to look foolish or anything.

What do any of you know about "war crimes"? Do you have first hand experience, or just what you have read or have been told. Were you in Israel when 60 -150 random rockets rained down. Their response was appropriate, and maybe not enough. There are no innocents except children in a war, and their is no way to insure their safety. Could it be a war crime to just sit by and watch what is happening in this world and do nothing? Wonder what is worse.

The Bold and Underline part is why this falls apart and you apparently have a very poor understanding of the History of the region.

The ottoman empire were not Arabs. The Ottoman empire oppressed the **** out Arabs, and Arabs in turn were in a constant state of Rebellion and violence. Which group started what, the Turks or the Arabs, is inconsequential as it goes back a LONG time.

Lawrence of Arabia is a British man who helped the Arabs FIGHT the Ottomans.

The Ottomans encouraged Jewish immigration (Zionism) to the Levant (Palestine, aka Israel and Jordan). This was part of their immigration policy, as a way to counter the influence of Arabs in the area.

Arabs didn't like this, much in the same way Quebecois don't like alot of Muslims and Africans moving into Quebec. Or how in Surrey BC alot of white supremacist groups flourish now that White people are a minority there.

Lol, you are quite funny. Do you know how hamas went to power?

Just like the canadians(liberals of paul martin), palestinians were tired to have a corrupted party in power(fatah for the palestinians), so they choose the hamas, canadians choose the conservatives.

And yes Harper is worst than any hamas members, he is a terrorist white-wash righ wing, who has close ties to Lopus Dei, a retarded crew link to the vatican.

Hard core? Yes.... For the rest? You sound like just another user. All those new Muslims and Africans might help stack a referendum to your favour. You'll blame those immigrants when the new nation falls on its face.

Well canadians elected Harper, so what is the differences?

Let's see; just for starters:

Harper is not in the habit of having opponents shot, knee-capped, tortured or thrown from the top of high buildings........although, in your case, that could be seen as quite unfortunate.

As i can see Israel isnt interested either as long as the palestinians are alive.

You missed the Israeli peace treaties with Egypt, in which they traded land for peace, and with Jordan........to say nothing of their withdrawal to the UN mandated international border with Lebanon.

You missed Barak's offer of a Palestinian nation back in the 1990s.

You missed the unilaterally Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in 2005, when Israel used force to remove Jewish settlers, and made it very clear they would follow suit in the West Bank....if the Gazan effort was ac success........a chance destroyed by Hamas.

Where is Israel's proof that this alleged Hamas tunnel led to Israel? I've never seen anything which supports their claim. The fact that Israel has offered no proof and launched the raid on the same day as US elections makes me highly skeptical.

GAZA, July 10 (Reuters) - Hamas arrested seven Palestinians who fired rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip on Thursday, a militant faction said, in the first such detentions since the Islamist group and Israel agreed a truce last month.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a group linked to President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah group, said Hamas men pursued three of its its members after the attack and "abducted them" in Jabalya refugee camp.

No one was hurt in the strike with two rockets on southern Israel.

Four more men were arrested as they tried to fire rockets at Israel after darkness fell, an al-Aqsa official said....

Top Hamas official: We'll stop anyone who breaks Gaza truce

By Fadi Eyadat and Avi Issacharoff, Haaretz Correspondents, and News Agencies

Mahmoud al-Zahar, a senior Hamas official in the Gaza Strip, told a Saudi newspaper on Saturday that his organization will move against any armed group that attempts to violate the cease-fire with Israel, including members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Al-Zahar warned that any Palestinian group who deviates from the national consensus and harms the interests of the Palestinian people can no longer be considered a part of the resistance, but rather as someone who seeks to harm it.

Al-Zahar added that Hamas has recently arrested gunmen who fired missiles at the Karni crossing as well as at trucks carrying goods that passed through the crossings....

...In Gaza, while the truce continued to hold, one unarmed civilian was killed by the IDF. Overall, despite the significant decrease in casualties, the population of Gaza saw little tangible dividend from the truce. The amount of commodities remained far below actual needs as the level of imports was 46% below the level in May 2007 (one month before the Hamas takeover that triggered the full closure). The restrictions on imports, combined with the total ban on exports, kept 95% of Gaza's local industry closed. Only 990 people succeeded in crossing Rafah (Gaza's border with Egypt), compared to over 18,000 in May 2007. Further, as of the end of the month, one-third of requests for permits to exit Gaza for medical treatment submitted to the Israeli authorities, was either rejected or still being processed...

BBC NEWS | World | Middle East | Guide: Gaza under blockade

Hamas respected the ceasefire from June 19, 2008 when it went into effect until November 4, 2008 when it was broken by Israel. Israel never met its ceasefire obligations. It continued to block international humanitarian food and medical aid from reaching hundreds of thousands of malnourished and sick people in violation of the ceasefire and international law.

All Colpy has is an unsubstantiated claim by Israel that they were defeeding themselves from a potential future threat. That's stretching the limits of credibility.

Meanwhile Israel has not stopped its violence. They pulled their ground troops out, but the bombing and the cruel blockade continues. But its hardly newsworthy anymore.

What was that lesson we were supposed to learn regarding the holocaust again?

The UN also ran the Nuremburg Rally in Durban SA in 2002.

Hamas is a bunch of murderers and terrorist who, according to the PALESTINIAN Human Rights group shoot, torture, kneecap, and toss off high buildings their political opponents. NOBODY sensible would believe a word they say.

So, I would tend to believe Israel

Secondly, although I believe Israel killed the Hamas members while they were attempting an infiltration, that is not, in itself, that essential. The truce was constantly broken, missiles continued to land in Israel (although many many fewer) throughout the "truce". Gaza is under Hamas control. Hamas is responsible. Simple as that.

Hamas is OBVIOUSLY....read that. OBVIOUSLY not interested in peace, they will not recognize Israel's right to exist.

Full stop.

Israel has NO ONE to negotiate peace with. Which is why the Israeli left and the Israeli peace movement have faded to insignificance. It is a shame, but it is a tragedy the Palestinian leadership has brought upon itself.

Understand something....Hamas leaders care NOTHING for Palestinians, they care only for their own power, their psychotic brand of Islam, and the wishes of their masters in Iran and Syria. They have no people.

Anytime Israel goes into Gaza to kill Hamas, they have full justification......

UNRWA is in Gaza and they say Israel violated the ceasefire:

UNWRA is small step away from being a Hamas subsidiary. UNWRA is big business, they have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. What they say is not neccesarily untrue, but I would not take them at their word.

Israel admits Hamas never fired a single rocket during the ceasefire until after Israel attacked Hamas:

This has become a tired old game of semantics. People with more than one or two functioning brain cells don't care that "Hamas never fired a single rocket". Wether it was Hamas or Fatah of IJ makes no difference. Those three have their differences, but the one thing they have in common is firing rockets at Israel.

Not only did Hamas not fire rockets during the ceasefire, they arrested militants that did:

Which proves my point exactly. Hamas does not arrest those who cross them.

Israel never met its ceasefire obligations.

Not true:

Israel has begun easing its blockade of the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip under a truce agreement reached last week.

But did the truce hold?
