Which describes the Bamster to a tee and is the main reason he's a one-termer.

If you don't like the states move.

I just called my brother, who happens to be a high school teacher is Brownsville, Texas, and he puts the lie to your bigotted words; their geo texts have as much info as texts here in Canada

Have you been sampling those Lab spirits. In the Army we always went to the Medics for the good stuff, hit the mess tent for a large can of juice and back to the tents.

Bah.. my satire gets no love. :(

I watched the Republican Debate, well a rerun on Sunday night and good grief Ron Paul
nearly made sense, and that is scary. Santorum and Newt, they were floating in the breeze
as flakes and Mit well he was busy just justifying his existence. I could not believe that
anyone would seriously consider any of these people as the person to be President.
Obama is a better choice by far. He is not perfect but he is better than anyone on that stage
last night.
As for him being a one term President? Don't get too set on that idea, I understand that he
may have a new running mate Ms Clinton, and that is not good news for the Republicans.

Are you blind? Progressives turned on Obama long ago, when he tried building bridges with the GOP, who still say no to everything.

It's pure partisan nonsense. Others have made the point better than I, so have a read:
Liberals hoped that Obama would overturn conservative policies and launch a new era of government activism. Although Republicans routinely accuse him of being a socialist, an honest examination of his presidency must conclude that he has in fact been moderately conservative to exactly the same degree that Nixon was moderately liberal.
Here are a few examples of Obama's effective conservatism:

  • His stimulus bill was half the size that his advisers thought necessary;
  • He continued Bush’s war and national security policies without change and even retained Bush’s defense secretary;
  • He put forward a health plan almost identical to those that had been supported by Republicans such as Mitt Romney in the recent past, pointedly rejecting the single-payer option favored by liberals;
  • He caved to conservative demands that the Bush tax cuts be extended without getting any quid pro quo whatsoever;
  • And in the past few weeks he has supported deficit reductions that go far beyond those offered by Republicans.

Further evidence can be found in the writings of outspoken liberals such as New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, who has condemned Obama’s conservatism ever since he took office.

Gopher you have it correct. He isn't a part of their "Grand Plan" so he doesn't fit their mold. That alone may help him get the nomination. Now that the Iowa count is showing him barely out front that wipes out the Romney attempt to buy the nomination. Newt the Philandered is already done. His tailspin is in a slow motion move now. The GOP field of candidates is a great example of just how divided they are about wanting to see Obama unseated.

Here is what we do know, that the Republican hopefuls fall short even before the fight begins.
Romney is not a compelling leader, he has no drive as in overdrive. He is meat and Potato's
without butter or gravy.
Ron Paul makes sense at times and then he reverts to being Ron Paul and the bridge of hope
opens the bridge span, to embrace the abyss of open water.
Santorum is a small vision and a dim light for progress, He believes that lighting matches in a
dungeon, is all the light people need to see, the rest of the vision is devoted to blind faith in
some superior being. His vision of ultra conservatism does not lend itself to freedom of choices
in an open society, its a "here God rules" kind of thing. It marginalizes him across the broad
spectrum of voters.
And Newt what can I say. He has a woman list longer than a football roster. Revelations keep
coming long after the prophet is dead. This man is a chameleon at best, competing for the
religious vote and as much flesh as he can get.
And now the greatest revelation of all the Republican management is also incompetent. My
God they held a primary and chose a winner, only to find out a couple of weeks later the winner
lost and the loser one, even if he is a loser.
This party wants the White House Back? You have to be kidding. Sarah Palin looks to be a
mainstream person compared to these, let us call them individuals running the show.
Why have a vote in South Carolina, they are too incompetent to count the ballots correctly anyway.
Santorum will not be President its that simple.

And what is your opinion of the current occupant of the White House?
Did his cocaine use as a lad affect that position?
How about his work ethic,what with alll that time for golf,basketball and holidays,
does that affect your thoughts.
But if these points do not cause you to pause how do you come to terms with the
American national debt,the state of their economy and their jobless rate?
But I must agree with you those republican candidates sure look goofey.

Santorum is a shill for some Christian fundie cult. Scientifically illiterate and borderline bigot. Wouldn't surprise me if he was one of the KKK's more extremist members.
Borderline bigot? Kinda like all the conservative/republican types who hate Obama and try to pretend it has to do with how he is running the country instead of because he is half black? A friend was commenting today how bigotry and racism are so much alive and doing well in US politics. Seems to also be linked to Christian fundamentalists, including those on this forum.

Oh ya, there's just so many of us on this forum! :lol: Two by my count!

It has nothing to do with Obama's skin color! Few things would please me more than to see Alan Keyes become President!
