It's been years now, but at the time a couple of guys came by the door and spent a half hour telling me that the Virgin Mary was a false goddess and the Pope was an anti-Christian tyrant. As they started to wind down some, I just said "You seem to think I'm Catholic. I'm not."

They were perplexed.

If one Muslim is a murderous baby-raping extremist, and your broad brush tarring of all is applied - ALL Muslims are. Do you like that analogy Enassir?

Hint: Trolling isn't working so well for your Cause - which makes you no better blasphemous infidels you accuse.

So much for your rivers of honey and all the virgins

lone wolf, certainly I don't include you in the second group. :D

Nassir must now be realizing that his time here is a waste, but it will not stop him. He does not realize how much he is destroying the reputation of Islam by his insipid, repetitive and sometimes threatening posts.

Let's briefly review those repetitive posts he has made, and the reason why he feels so much resistance.

1. All the people here (except Nassir) are wrong because we are not Muslims, or will not convert and save ourselves. His proof? He endlessly quotes from the Quran. Anyone who does not subscribe to it will rot in hell.

2. Everything that he says is true and not open to debate. His proof? He endlessly quotes from the Quran. Anyone who does not subscribe to it will rot in hell.

3. All of us are "Unbelievers" and ugly Zionists. More correctly, those who argue with him are ugly Zionists. For him, this is an insult he tosses at anyone who dares to contradict him. But there is hope for the Zionists. This aberrant behaviour can be corrected by reading and adhering to a series of ayahs, written in a book that only Nassir has any faith in. And, of course, converting.
---
The board's reaction:

A few years ago, people politely ignored him or stated that they believed in something else. Saying this was a slap in the face to Nassir. It was a challenge.

There were even posts suggesting that religious scholars of every major belief system talk about their beliefs in conferences, uni debates, etc. This includes Muslim scholars. You would think that as much as Nassir dislikes unbelievers, that he would respect his religious leaders and their agreement to talk with other religious groups. Maybe even live together in peace and harmony. Uh uh. Occasionally, he would slip and let his ugly, aggressive side come through.

Stating that you adhered to another religion or, perish the thought, did not follow any, "turned on" the zealot in him. The polite brushoffs did not work. Nassir did not get the hint. That's when he ramped up his preaching, breathing fire and brimstone. His posts became fanatical. He threatened the unbelievers. He never attempted to reason with anyone. For Nassir, Islam is a take it or leave it thing. The closest you will get to "reason" are quotes from his book. There is no debate. It's my way or the highway.

Which brings us full circle.

Nassir is a zealot. He is not a Muslim. If he truly believed in the quotes from the Quran, he would not insult, deride or threaten anyone.

Northern Ontario,
Any pamphlet or any mail that contains a return address, simply write not accepted on it and put it in outgoing mail.....The post office has to return it to the original sender and he gets billed by Canada Post......when that is done, the sender never does it again!

In most cases the pamphlet is distributed by Canada Post as paid bulk mail.

My JW is a nice guy. I answer the door, he gives me my magazine, I say thank you. Door is opened and closed in a matter of 10 seconds.

However, a JW imposter showed up on my doorstep during the Superbowl. That kind of pissed me off.

I've never met a rude or pushy JW.

I have met a few pushy young mormon men. But saying "I'm an atheist" has stopped them fairly quickly. I imagine they've been warned that atheists are guided by satan and therefore they are very careful to extricate themselves from any further conversation.

I figure people who aren't pushy don't come to your door with the intention of peddling religion. Religion is off limits as far as I'm concerned. I believe in the Golden Rule and that's about the extent of it.

I don't think nice guys peddle religion door to door.

Sadly, he considers himself a missionary. Someone who was sent here to save us from ourselves. He mocks any religion other than his own. He insults and berates everyone. In the same breath, he talks about being tolerant and preaching the word of Mo. Well, that's two faced.

Of course, when others attack his words, again he starts in saying that we will all pay for it after we die. Sounds like an old time preacher man to me.

The problem is, it is difficult to distinguish the non-violent from the violent ones. Nassir (selfsame) is a Muslim evangelist who wore out his welcome long ago.

I'm afraid that I don't have a position on missionaries.

Every religion does this at one time or anther they have rights like everyone else.
The word religion, associated with the word truth is disturbing in itself.
Organized religion of any kind has convoluted the words until truth has been
edited out period

Muslims say they believe Allah is great and all powerful. So why did Allah create people that Muslims feel they have to kill? Why did Allah create pigs and dogs so that Muslims could hate them? And most of all, what makes Muslims think that an all powerful Allah needs their help to do 'His will'?
Islam is a sick, twisted way of life.

given the size of our universe how a god could/would bother with a bunch of silly apes is ridiculous.

Look at the size of our universe...

This map of the universe spans more than 500 million light-years and contains more than 100,000 galaxies.

I'm not sure that one God takes charge of the entire area! I'm pretty sure God would be pretty good at delegating. If there was one Super God he wouldn't be getting into details.
