Of course. Almost everything we eat is Kosher although I've noticed Halal can be cheaper. Especially chicken.
The Islamic law is moderate and intermediate between the hardly strict law of Jews and the very lenient law of Christians.
So converting to the Islam will free the Jew from his strict obligation; such strict obligations and hard duties were imposed on Jews on account of their disobedience and opposing God's commands.

Moreover, I asked Abu Abd-Allah about the meat of the slaughtered animal by Jews, he said: we can eat their slaughtered meat, but not the meat slaughtered by Christians.
That is because Jews way of butchering the animals is like our Muslim way and they mention God's name on it, unless you know that the Jewish butcher is an atheist who does not mention God's name.
While Christian butchers do not mention God's name, and they are associaters and if they mention God's name, they say In the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit; therefore, their slaughtered meat is not allowed or halal as you say.
If the Muslim butcher is an atheist or he does not mention God's name on the slaughtered animal, then the meat of the slaughtered animal is also forbidden like the dead animal.
