With Mexico's economy busted up, I'm not sure Mexicans will be able to afford to buy US products. I wonder how that will affect US exports to Mexico? And make no mistake, the US does export to Mexico too.
Trump will learn that soon enough.
How will Mexico pay once you bust up its economy?

the US under clinton busted up their economy so the globalists and the cartels could move in
where ya been?

the cartels aren't busted up
:)
Mexico is corrupt
THEY'LL PAY

Are you telling the readers that you do not need to be too smart, to be smarter than Americans? Well said.

You do realize that once you write something -you own it. Doesn't matter that you can attribute it to someone else, the fact that you chose to repeat it means that you obviously believe in what was written or said. It would be conducive to the furtherance of the discussion if you were able to persuade yourself to indulge comments of a more worthy note - and much appreciated.

Putz is too stupid to realize anything. He just likes to aggravate people!

I'd like to know which Americans he's smarter than. Probably no more than 10.

There's lots a mollah heading south of the border.

I know it is frustrating to some... but Mexico is going to pay.

I just watched part of the Noon news on C.B.C. I get the impression that for now Trump is backing off very slightly on the Mexican Wall. I'm optimistic that perhaps he's going to try to improve his relation with the Mexican Pres. so that possible they can come to a more mutual agreement. I wonder if Mexico isn't possibly just as adamant in stopping bad A$$es from the U.S. invading!

I have a sneaking hunch Donald is re evaluating the situation. It might need a good second look.

It might get built, but if it does, all of North America is going to pay.

No, Mexico will pay for it.

As was pointed out earlier... when the Mexican President backed out of the meeting with Trump, the peso spiraled downward.

It is best for the Mexican President to accept the inevitable and pay.

For Mexico to pay would be even worse. Tariffs will hurt Mexican industry, but for Mexico to pay for the wall would bankrupt it. Why would Mexico choose the worst of two bad options. Do you take Nieto for a fool?

Nieto is not a fool. That's why he spoke to Trump on the phone. He either realized canceling his meeting was a bad idea, or one of his advisors suggested that he stay on speaking terms with the Donald.

At any rate, Trump is not putting these things into place because they help US business. He is reacting to the thousands of illegals and the drugs entering the US from Mexico. He wants to reduce both. Things that are negatively impacting parts of the US. He will never stop it completely, but he will put a damper on it.

I hope that he is successful.

How do we know Mexico has the money?

I know one way they could get their hands on bundles. Get serious about cracking down on all the illegal drug gangs that proliferate throughout their country. Arrest them and grab their bank accounts.

Yes, come up with a modern equivalent to what the feds did in the 1930s and forward. I'm thinking about their reducing the Mob's influence and jailing ringleaders like Capone.

People are always going to smoke, drink and do drugs. The government might as well make money from it.

Frankly I doubt the Dumpster has the attention span to do much damage. The latest report on his behaviour is that he frequently gets bored during policy discussions and turns on the TV and starts watching that instead of paying attention. People forget that the Dumpster is already several years past normal retirement age. The US presidency is not a six hour a day job, but I would be surprised if he can handle more than that.

ANd Clinton is how old?

You're listening to too much bull sh*t. Trump is younger than I am and is still able to put in 16 hour days 7 days a week.

Five days into his mandate and Trump has come damned close to starting a war with his next door neighbour. Mexico is the US second biggest EXPORT Market. Most of those rust belt jobs went to Asia, not to Mexico. It's a race war, really.

... a tiny bit younger than Trump. With either of them winning the Presidency, they would both be the second oldest Presidents in history (After 'ole Ronny,).

It could get very ugly. It's not a good start, pissing off a previously peaceful next door neighbour with 100 million people in it. It is a terminally stupid move, to a sane person.

Actually Trump is about 6 months older than Ronnie when he became President. Not that it means a hell of a lot............Ronnie went to 93.

It's doubtful. Mexico isn't much of a threat. I'd be more concerned with the drug cartels. The Mexican police have a rotten track record dealing with them. The drug lords get the upper hand more often than not.

WRT the US, Trump is getting more border police, but I don't expect the Federales to be marching across the border any time soon.
