You mean these women were able to be full time mothers, god what barbarians. This country is already awash in unemployed professionals, unemployed PHDs, gays,christians, WTF is wrong with ordinary people, usefull people.

Here's the thing, though. The higher paid 50% of the population now pays 94% of income taxes. The lower 50% pays 4%. The lower 30% pays nothing. The more low income earners we import, the more people we have consuming services like education and medical care, and not contributing anything to paying for them.

Make use of all the empty military compounds for when the first arrive. Everything that they need can be provided for them. Bring in translators and teachers and lots of information about all of Canada. It will be winter so organize some hockey teams for the kids. Canadian Tire would probably donate the equipment needed. They will need something to do besides studying all the time. Once they have a decent grasp of English, let them choose a place to move to and they can be off to their new life in Canada.

This might work but only if the duration of their stay in the camps is as short as possible. Too long a stay with not enough to do could create all kinds of problems.

Standard displaced persons accomodation. No corporate sponsers stick with government/people to people. Transport by sea.
Don't throw them out of camp into winter, wait for spring. Give them a break for the winter. It's insane to disperse them right off the planes. From what I've seen and read we will be seeing many very traumatized people.

Why do we need to increase our population? The whole damned world is overpopulated and that's why the planet is polluted. Increasing the population is in direct conflict with the frenzy to clean up the environment.

We, the population of Canada that is, are getting older and are not producing as many children as we once did. We need young people in this country especially in the coming years as the average age of a Canadian creeps up. Us old farts can't do all the work after all. :smile:

Yes I see the upper 50% are to stupid to know how to avoid taxation. Are you sure about your numbers? So you're insisting that refugees be selected on the basis of the potential tax payments.

Why no corporate sponsors? Why can't they do their part? The government will be footing a big enough bill when all this is said and done. The people to people though, that's a good idea. Uh.....throwing them out was not exactly what I had in mind and no, they should not be released in the winter.

Too bad there isn't an empty base near me, I'd volunteer to help out where I could. Great way to get to know the people.

I have no problems with refugees being resettled here. In fact, I may actually give Turdeau some credit even though I don't like the man.

However, I want to know that the background checks will be done, even if it is after the fact.

Delaying the checks is risky, not doing them is down right reckless.

When the dust settles, I think I can over look risky, but I won't forgive reckless.
