He's really Maggie's son isn't he.

.

...Justin just thinks this is one of those simple issues that people are somewhat indecisive about and will go along with the prevailing zeitgeist He seems to have none of his father's facility for critical and original thought.

Pierre had a sharp intellect, - but not a deep one.
JT has a real point here. we all know someone in University who got 'busted' in the 70=80's for possession, lost their careers, & drove cab for ten years until they got the ' pardon.'
coldstream, with all due respect, we don't need a class of 'intelligent criminals'.

This is the thin edge of wedge in drug legalization. It'll produce a nation of zombies. You certainly don't need draconian sentences for simple possession. But Marijuana has been associated with many types of mental impairments... depression, paranoia, psychosis... as well as its more familiar knocks of lethargy, confusion, diminishment of social engagement, general devolution of planning and life skills. It's essentially a very unhealthy and disruptive drug for young people especially.

Its therapeutic value, in any proven sense.. is just about zero. And when ingested through smoking it contains a myriad carcinogenic by products.. just like tobacco.

I don't think his mother ever operated with a "full deck" and I think he might be still a little "wet behind the ears".

Apparently Elton John found the fountain of youth.

And like tobacco everyone knows the risks and should be able to decide whether or not they are willing to take the risk. I have chosen not to. Others should be able to make the choice as well. If they chose to do it and suffer as a result - well, it was their choice.n Legal or not it is going to happen.

You just ain't whistlin' Dixie, have you ever heard of a politician having a "great mind"?

Blame the electorate for that one. They hire the politicians.

The statement referred to general drug legalization. Go down to East Hastings in Vancouver... the Land of the Living Dead.. with their 'free' injection sites... Zombies indeed.

You really don't have a clue what you are babbling about. There are far more people addicted to legal government approved drugs than all illegal ones combined. That is without including alcohol and tobacco.

Justin Trudaeu has been slammed for being Justin Trudeau ever since he entered politics. The cons must be terrified of the dude.

His stand on pot is far more enlightened than Harpo who increased penalties for possession and increasing the War on Pot that even the Yanks are distancing themselves from.

More conservatives should smoke pot, it would make for a much more relaxed Canada.

Given Harpers tastes in music im a bit surprised that he doesnt. Its mostly hippy stuff from the 60s. From what Ive read he didnt experiment at all even while young.

They must. Ignatieff wasnt out a full day before they started talking about Trudeau. It isnt all that surprising. Between the good looks, the name and the family history its understandable that they'd go after him. I believe it was PET's actions which politicized Harper in the first place.

34 Medical Studies Proving Cannabis Cures Cancer

Posted on July 28, 2013 by Enbe
Waking Times – by Michael Taillard
There’s still a lot of confusion across the nation about whether or not marijuana is effective for cancer patients. Odds are you’ve heard something about it but weren’t sure whether the information was reliable or definitive. So, in order to help clear things up, here is a list of 25 studies showing that marijuana cures cancer, categorized by the type of cancers being cured in each study.
As you sort through the articles, note that the consistent theme between them is that cannabis shrinks tumors and selectively targets cancer cells. As bills and voter initiatives to legalize medical marijuana spread from state to state, remember that we’re not just talking about mitigating the side effects of chemo (though this is another viable use), we’re talking about curing the cancer itself as well as preventing its spread. I’ve taken the liberty

2010 – All the successful cures against cancer discovered in the last 100 years, and the reasons why they were suppressed.
Cancer is the only disease that has been defeated dozens of times without anyone knowing it. In the last 100 years, dozens of doctors, scientists, and researchers have developed diverse and effective solutions against cancer only to be thwarted by the political and propaganda power of the drug-dominated medical profession. This is the story of Essiac, Hoxsey, Laetrile, Shark Cartilage, Mistletoe, and Bicarbonate of Soda all put together in a stunning overview that leaves no doubt that inexpensive cures for cancer do exist but are systematically blocked by Big Pharma because they come from nature and cannot be patented.

The production of zombies preceded your above stated concerns by several decades at least. You seem quite the adherent of synthetics both medicinal and theological. Your lord and savior, had he actually lived, would have been anointed with an oil containing as it;s main constituent cannabis. I bet you can't wait to buy safe clean government approved plastic potatoes.

Justin Trudeau is a nice, polite boy, but that doesn't make him eligible to be Prime Minister of Canada. The women of the day made the same mistake with his old man.

All you need to be eligible to be Prime Minister is Canadian citizenship and enough people willing to vote for you or your party. If we really wanted to we could put a Taxi Driver in 24 Sussex. In 2011 a 19 year old was elected. Hypothetically if he had gained leadership of a party and won the next election he could be PM by 24. Never going to happen of course, but the system does allow for such things.
