We went into Iraq for two reasons. 10 Oil .... on both accounts we really failed. The Oil is now flowing back into pipelines moving through to Europe and other neighbors.

Yes the liberals were saying all along it was a War for Oil. Now that it is clear that it never was a war for oil and we don't have control over Iraq's oil they are calling it a failure.

Are you that dense? The War for Oil was a creation of the libs and demis... not the Bush Administration. So in reality the libs and demis were wrong.

Yup it will be a much better Iraq, just let them settle it, and the blood flows on. Oil was never an issue, they just cannot get along.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi authorities issued an arrest warrant for Sunni Muslim Vice-President Tareq al-Hashemi on Monday for suspected ties to assassinations and bombings, a decision likely to fuel sectarian tensions after the U.S. troop withdrawal.
The move risks unraveling Iraq's fragile power-sharing deal among Shi'ite, Sunni and Kurdish blocs who have struggled to overcome tensions just a few years after sectarian slaughter drove the country to the edge of a civil war.
Interior Ministry spokesman, Major General Adel Daham, told a news conference confessions by suspects identified as Hashemi's bodyguards linked the vice president to killings and attacks on Iraqi government and security officials.

New and Improved? It's Iraq, not ****ing laundry soap. Jeeesus.

That was sarcasm. Because of all the empty promises the invader made when it ran off half cocked into an elective war based on lies.

No wonder they are trying to handle the troops return in a low (for them) profile way. They don't dare brag about any victory or "success" in this very unhappy situation. What really disses me off is how the troops were used, abused and otherwise played for nothing more than some kind of political ploy.

In a hero worshipping culture.....they are made into heros yet most admit that there is nothing heroic about what they were made to do. National security has become the other big lie. (excuse)

That's an awfully strong assertion to suggest that the Iraqi's lied and connived to press the Americans into helping.

When a Christian can go buy a pack of smokes, a ham, Christmas tree and Playboy all in one stop like in the Baghdad prior to the war I'll consider things a success.

Where on earth did you get THAT??? The only coercion that took place is by Bush of Blair and the others that supported this invasion.

the LIAR is bush and those that tried to build "supportive evidence in order that bush could get his war.

Without getting him/herself killed might be an added bonus!
