Weird game. Who knows where this series will end up. The Hawks are so dangerous yet they can be their own worst enemies e.g the 4 on 1.

OK, now, lets see them take it home in the 3rd, but don't relax yet anybody, things can reverse so fast at times, it can make your head spin, lots of patience
and good defense now, and no penalties please.

Relax are you kidding came close to having an ulcer a heart attack and a stroke all in the first 18 minutes of the third. That's cruel punishment, but they managed to pull it out of the fire- maybe THAT is what makes the good teams. Anyway one more game at G.M. place assured (one way or the other)

Uncanny of the Canucks to always sit back and lay low with too much of a lead.. I realize they are not alone to do this but with so much talent they need to get a better match up in such cases and set up a better defence to protect a lead while still attacking with little or no danger of letting it slip away. A bit like NJ ( I think it was ) who had the trap going so well for these types of situations..

There were times in this game when the Sedins were on a different level from the rest. During an intermission one of the Hawks said the Sedins were the most dangerous powerplay in the league.

I alwayz shook my head when people screamed to trade the Sedins. I'd say "are you crazy? Just wait till these guys blossom, they're gonna light the league on fire." Sure enough, look how well developed they've become! Only to get better I'm sure.

They came out in the third, and left their intensity back in the dressing room. It was OK that they got the first goal, but when Hortichuk took that S T U P I D
penalty, he got them to within one, well, of course they knew then that they were
back in the game, and of course they were going to tie it up. Good play by Salo,
but very bad playing by chicago at that point, they got a little too excited and forgot they were suppose to play defense as well as offense. Glad we pulled it off.
Canucks won't make that 3rd period mistake again.
Sedins were awsome, and so was the 3rd line.
This is fun.
Settle down JLM get a good nights sleep, go for a nice long walk tomorrow, and
get prepared for Saturday, you'll need your strength, you can do it, I know you can.

Following the game from time to time on the internet(at work) I thought for sure that Vancouver would fall apart once the game was tied 3-3. Thankfully they kept their composure and were able to pull out the victory.

You're right about the walk, talloola:lol::lol::lol: best remedy there is for bad nerves. I just get so upset, about every second game they play it seems they either get lazy, stupid or both have playing well to get a substantial lead, that penalty by that fourth line player was absolutely ridiculous. You DON'T take penalties in the other teams zone. Anyway I'll probably get over it by next game :lol::lol::lol:

This years team play for each other, and have a confidence, even when the going gets tough, and they 'don't fold.
Hortichuk was very selfish, his hit was not only too high, but way too late.
The team will learn a valuable lesson from the game, but chicago will also
become more confident that they can get the puck past luongo, so next game
will be a doozer.

Pretend you are a chicago fan for a minute, then when you get back to reality
you will feel better.;-)
Chicago came out in the last period behind 3-0, they had to ramp up their game
to have a chance, and they did that, that is expected, and without the hortichuk
penalty it still would have still been 3-1, and canucks could have shut them
down for the rest of the game, so it was 'that' single dumb move by him that
lit the fuse of hope for chicago to push even harder, one more goal and it would
be tied, and we all know what happened next.

I had my nephew message me after the game...."did you see chicago lose?"

what I saw was Vancouver damn near blow a 3-0 lead. Once they get past chicago, they can't afford to be playing like that.

Go Canucks Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Yep, I'm beginning to think the Canucks chances of winning the cup are pretty good, I think the present Canuck team is as good or better than any team they've had. It's amazing when you think that basically besides Dan'l and Hank the only other old timers are Ohlund and Salo, everyone else has arrived in the last couple of years. I think they'll probably finish Chicago off in 4 or 5 - the third round is gong to be the toughest.

Yeah, they should make it a habit of quit doing that.

Good day JLM, the 1994 team was a force to be feared, if we make it to the last game this time it will be poorly of the talent today, 15 years later we may get the cup.

It was interesting and eyeopening today listening Dave Tomlinson on team 1040.
He talked about the poor defensive play of the second line, and how Dimitra and
Sundin just don't do thier jobs on the defensive side of the puck. He also mentioned how two goals were caused by their absence, and also mentioned
that 'when' we get to chicago and Quenville has home team 'line change' option,
that he will burn us playing his strength against that line.
I know Dimitra had a goal, and sundin an assist on that goal, but the rest of their
game was a defensive liability, so not sure how vineault can fix that problem. He
can bring it to their attention which I'm sure he has on many occasions, but it
remains that Dimitra will not go into the dirty areas, avoids being hit, and sundin
can't keep up to do his back checking, and if he falls down, as he did at one point
last night, it takes him too long to recover, and by the time he got up the play
was almost at the other end of the ice.
Perhaps canucks can do it, in spite of them.

Boston's ahead 3-1 at the end of the 2nd period; Detroit and Anaheim are tied 2-2 with about 8 minutes left in the 3rd period.

According to popular belief online, the refs are trying their darndest to give Detroit the win.8O

I don't buy it. Anaheim have whined all year, how they are given too many
penalties, and I also heard it from Don Cherry, I don't buy it.
