Oh you're really low twisting my words like that. All of the hijackers were muslims.

....and that's not what I meant.

Don't pretend you didn't get that.

Yes all the hijackers were Muslims but not all Muslims are hijackers.

Just like not all Priests are child molesters or all Germans hate Jews.

An Internet forum is not an appropriate place for sarcasm. I can't hear your tone of voice nor can I see any facial expressions.

Turn it into a hole they came from? You mean like what Muslims are doing in Egypt and Tunisia? Fighting for freedom and democracy from dictators that we in the West have been proping up for years.

Ya got me on that one Einstein, why everyone knows that Egypt + Tunisia = Utopia.

I suppose that's why they're looting, burning, raping and destroying the nation... 'Cause life there is so idyllic.

Ahhhh... The race card.

Nothing says you've got a losing argument faster than when the spineless that need to throw that intangible into the mix.

Let me ask you a question; Seeing how Cameron, Merkel and Sarkozy are all speaking out on this issue in a manner that doesn't support you love-in idealism, does this make them bigots as well?.. Either that or you are just an overzealous fanatic that likes to throw around inflamatory accusations.

At least I was right, some people don't mind immigration as long as they "look" Canadian and have similar religions.

What does a Canadian look like?

Go and try setting up a white heritage club that promotes people of east and west Europa and Russia that encourages the racial well being and unique traditions of the greater Europa and Russia people and puts them first before all.

...It was white Christian philosophy, in fact a bunch of old priviledged white guys, that built the society that has made you rich and free....

Why is it so easy to overlook how that bunch of old priviledged white guys came to be in possession of this taxable asset in the first place?

If the only link between the people building the mosque/community center and the 9/11 hijackers is religion, then preventing them from building a mosque is an act of religious discrimination. That might be acceptable in countries which don't believe in freedom of religion, but that isn't the USA, or at least I used to believe that Americans believed in freedom of religion. I'm definitely against people exploiting fear, hate and prejudice for political, personal gain as well as the idiots who go along with this crap.

Sure they can have their own culture and at the same time they should be able to accept Canadian culture as their own. But when immigrants start dictating what can and can't be built such as the building of the Vancouver hospice being put on hold because of cultural sensitivity where does it stop?

What do you mean, 'they'.

What culture do YOU have?

Not sure if your being sarcastic but immigrants should accept Canadian culture as their own if they choose to live here instead of trying to force their own beliefs upon Canadians. An example would be this:
Vancouver hospice put on hold over 'cultural sensitivity' - The Globe and Mail

Once immigrants are allowed to dictate what's built etc it becomes a slippery slope..

"Plans for a hospice on the University of British Columbia campus have been put on hold after some neighbourhood residents said the proposed facility offended their cultural sensitivities around death and dying."

These people are Canadians. Their culture is my culture too. I understand the aversion to the dead and dying, but don't share it.

If this was a safety or environmental issue, I'd support them. Since its just a perception, I support the university's right to provide an essential service.

These Canadians are discriminating against an identifiable group. The dying. I hope the university wins.

Well, that's the Hospices right to put it on hold, just like it's the right of the individuals to protest. See, that's the wonderful thing about living in a free and democratic Country.

Are you [proposing that individual rights be compromised?

Read the emboldened part. It wasn't the decision of the hospice to defer the project; it was the result of animosity based on "cultural sensitivities"... What all this boils down to is that one group is capable of exercising their "rights" at the expense of the rights of another group.

All in the name of tolerance... Where is the tolerance and acceptance for those groups whose "rights" are being compromised? How come they count for so much less in the world of political correctness?

This is the very circumstance that has motivated the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands to apply the binders in their societies.

That is how it has always BEEN DUMMY. What you are suggesting is the same thing. excersising the right to put the hospice up where you want it at the expense of anothers right not to want it there. See how rights work?
