They are. It is like "volunteering" in the army.
Still wondering who gets possession if I am buying back my guns with my money?
You aren't. The government is buying the guns with its money.

To say money that you have transferred to the government pursuant to a legal duty (to pay taxes) is "yours" is the exact same thing as saying your paycheck is your boss's.

Our government has no money of it's own. Quite literally,as well as in the rules of how a democracy works. Suppose a person does not wish to sell his legally acquired and foolishly registered property?

Good to see a little common sense, I have to shake my head every time I hear someone say the gov't should provide something, they can't seem to get their heads around the fact the gov't is you and me and 36 million others, many of which don't have 2 cents in the bank.:)

Isn't the money the property of the company you work for and traded to you for services that you provided to that company?
Is it truly your money until it is deposited into your bank account or traded for cash?

Well, technically, Canada has the money. And yes, "Canada" is a legal person that can own stuff.

The government is Canada's voice and executive with authority to spend its money and to acquire money for Canada through taxes, customs duties, and suchlike.

Without knowing much of what I speak I would say and operate on the basis, MY money is any money I can access. :)

This is from the NFA, but gun guy or not, this is fascinating. Especially the bit that starts at 19:30, and goes on for the next 20 minutes, where they discuss the Liberal law reform. Wow. I didn't know. Takes the shine off Jody Wilson-Raybould. And makes it obvious how serious the Liberal threat to individual freedom really is...........

Interesting discussion about the repeal of section 337 in the Canadian criminal code. What in the hell were the Liberals thinking?
