Probably the same but they do provide a great tourist attraction before they go to their eternal demise.

Pretty much . They look and taste like ocean Sox but are not as large . They are found in many systems in B.C.

Our Kokanee are small compared to the ones I watched spawning in the Adams River but they are the tastiest fish we have in the area, IMO. We got a rare treat this past fall when some eagle-eyed bird watcher happened to see a school of them in Eagle Creek and quickly spread the word. You had to catch them in the sunshine but once you saw them, it was kind of magical. We had three different viewing spots along the creek at each of the bridges.
