HARTFORD, Conn. — The developer of a school-shooting video game is vowing to continue selling it online as parents of slain children and other mass shooting victims work to get the game wiped off the internet.
The “Active Shooter” game was created by Anton Makarevskiy, a 21-year-old developer from Moscow, Russia, and is being marketed by his entity Acid Software. Acid said in a Twitter posting Tuesday that it will not be censored and cited free expression rights.
You cannot censor us and what we do. Our game does not violate any ToS nor promotes any violence and/or extremism.… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

ACID (@ACID_WTF) June 12, 2018
The game is branded as a “SWAT simulator” that lets players choose between being an active shooter terrorizing a school or the SWAT team responding to the shooting. Players can choose a gun, grenade or knife, and civilian and police death totals are shown on the screen. Acid had been selling an early version of the game online for $20 and plans to release a new version next month.
Acid recently set up two websites for “Active Shooter” after the game was removed from the webpages of video game marketplace Steam and crowdfunding site Indiegogo, which is refunding contributors. The removals followed complaints and online petitions by anti-gun violence advocates including parents of children killed in school shootings in Parkland, Florida, and Newtown, Connecticut.
“You cannot censor us and what we do,” an Acid Twitter posting said . “Our game does not violate any ToS (terms of service) nor promotes any violence and/or extremism. #ActiveShooter will remain on our website and continue its course!”
One of the sites included a discussion section where one person recommended adding more “blood from shot civilians (LOTS AND LOTS)” and increasing noise and chaos to add to “the drama.”
The new webpages were shut down Tuesday night by Bluehost, the Burlington, Massachusetts, company that hosted the new sites, according to Acid. A representative of the company said the sites were up and running again Wednesday afternoon using Russian servers.
Representatives of Bluehost did not return a message seeking comment.
Bluehost was asked to remove the sites in an online petition organized by Sandy Hook Promise, an anti-gun violence group formed by parents whose children were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown in December 2012. Twenty first-graders and six educators were shot to death at the school, including Nicole Hockley’s son, Dylan.
“Even more than five years later, I’m still not ready to face all the details of Dylan’s last moments,” Hockley said in an email urging people to sign the petition to Bluehost. “The fact that someone has programmed such details into a game for others to play is beyond sickening.”
The game also was recently condemned by parents of children killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Ata Berdyev, of Seattle, who is helping Makarevskiy promote the game, told The Associated Press in emails Tuesday that the new sites generated about 300 free downloads of a demo, 14 sales of the initial game version and four pre-orders of the new version in less than a day.
Berdyev said Makarevskiy “does not keep up with US news” and the release of the game was “just a bad timing.”
“He obviously expected some criticism, but not as much as it got,” Berdyev wrote. “It’s a video game, not reality. It also does not promote any violence or hate. People need to focus on real-life issues rather than a video game. There are lots of other games which are even worse, but people seem not to care as much.”

Pity the poor stupid desperate LIE-berals who are running out of LIES to tell us- with no clever new BS available!

Firstly- wjhat is the problem with some drunk FBI guy dropping his gun on a dance floor?

LOTS of Yankees have licenses to carry concealed weapons- and they often carry while grocery shopping or dancing or etc!

There are currently NO restrictions on carrying guns on a dance floor- that I should have to point this out illustrates the utter madness of the LIE-beral position!

And why is it that the FBI is held to a higher standard than the average dork in the street?

And why blame the FBI guy for carrying his gun off duty since Yankee society is so gun crazed that people do not feel safe without their Smith and \Wesson "companion"- especially when so many cops are being deliberately targeted by hate groups!

We had a case in Canada where the jailed leader of Hells Angels had his gang members following jail guards home in an obvious threat against guards families- it was deliberate intimidation of guards!

Our local govt also had a series of debates about the cost of fully fencing parking areas around cop stations so that criminals could not so easily get the license plates of cops personal vehicles to use later for threats and intimidation!

The FBI guy dropping his gun on a dance floor is simply the natural result of living in such a heavily armed society!

An elderly relative of mine once observed that there were more people in his unit shot accidentally by their own side than by the Nazis in France! It is the natural result of living 24/7 with loaded guns!

Make the society safer and then people can leave the guns at home- but cop haters do not want such a world- its much more fun to sneer at stupid cops!

If it was up to me I would ban all gun sales and gun possession. If you don't like that move to the US.

This is not a popular solution among gun enthusiasts.

The need their guns because of all the gun violence.

Definitely a gun control problem...………………………………..by an Asshole!

What those two wounded kids indicate is business as usual among Toronto gangs!

That Meadovale/McNIcholl area is very heavily ethnic- lots of East Asians and it seems very likely that shooting the kids was a warning to somebody about turf wars!

So it IS a gun control problem since most of the pistols on Toronto streets come from United States.

IT IS an immigration problem since so many non whites are involved in various criminal activities as a way to supplement their incomes.

And it IS a crime control problem as LIE-berals INSIST THAT CRIME NUMBERS ARE DOWN- and thus we do not need more cops!

So crimes are not investigated as completely as they should be!

As proof we need only look at the 2 cops currently in LIE-beral hot water for not finding the dead woman in the alley way- the woman whose mother found her 4 days later!

The 2 cops were sent ONLY to the house to ask if anybody had seen the missing woman- they had NO search warrant and simply followed orders- they showed the photo around and got shrugs in response so off they went- and never found the body!

Only in the twisted mind of a LIE-beral would cops be blamed for not finding something at an area they were NOT allowed time to search and had no search warrant and thus NO legal permission to search in the fist place!

I would suggest that you move to Red China, where you would be happier being told what to do.

Do you have any idea how idiotic and how tired "If you don't like Canada's gun control, move to the USA" is at this point?

Or maybe you should GTFO to New Zealand, which has slightly less gun control than Canada.......

Come check my cattle without a gun and protect them and you from the Wolves, Bears, coyotes etc. rabies are known to be in our area although I haven't had to shoot a rabid animal in a long time now.

We have gangsters shooting people from cars who are not even the targets just ordinary children, but the important part is that those gangsters have a right to have those kind of guns in that time and place because a farmer might have to shoot a coyote in Sask.

See?

It makes sense.

It makes sense.

Are they actually possessing and handling them legally? See the difference?

Throw their asses in jail for the crime, throw their asses in jail for possessing illegal firearms, pretty simple isn't it?

Jesus.

Do you have a personal philosophy that says you have to make a damned fool of yourself on-line every single day?

If so, you're doing a fine job

First of all, no one says gangsters have a right to firearms. That is why we have training, daily background checks, complaint lines, and licensing.

Secondly, what kind of a gun do you think was used? Idiot. There's a 80% chance at least it was a handgun, which requires even more qualifications before a civilian is allowed to own it.

Thirdly, Explain to me WTF you would do with gun control, seeing as our current laws don't work perfectly,. and the proposed new law has nothing whatsoever to do with shootings like this one.

It is easy to throw shlt, try presenting a solution.

I can't wait. My giggle meter is turned on full.

See?

Little girls getting shot from cars in Toronto is ok. That's normal. It happens all the time.

Nothing ever changes and therefore the rules never need to change either.
