Nobody wants a thread about real democratic rights like freedom of the press.

They only care about imaginary rights like guns.

As cheap excuses go, that one's. . . well, not really very good at all.

Might start one myself. Be interesting, and probably quite amusing, to see if the general level of ignorance on Constitutional/Charter/legal rights on this board is commensurate with the general level of ignorance about most other stuff.

And yet the Second is in no way different than the other seven in the Bill of Rights. So either you quit yapping about the Gawd-given raht to yer shootin' ahrns and start arguing reasonable, effective restrictions on both guns and shooters, or give the Second the same treatment as the others.

Well, it certainly is as important as the rest, but I think the Second guarantees reasonable access to weapons roughly the equivalent of the personal arms carried by the nation's troops. In your case, the M4...........the full auto compact version of the AR 15.

I also think background checks are a reasonable restraint on that freedom.

Beyond that.......you are limited by your own Bill of Rights.

Don't like that?

Amend it.

That is the only legitimate way to establish what many think are "reasonable" restrictions.

Nobody wants a thread about real democratic rights like freedom of the press.

They only care about imaginary rights like guns.

LOL!!

That's funny from a guy that hates freedom of speech almost as much as the right to keep and bear arms.

the first amendment is more important than the second and far more imperiled.

I agree it is more imperiled......mostly by idiots that want to shut up those that disagree with them.

Or those that want to force the religious to do things they find immoral...........

Recent photographs of Prince George playing with a toy gun have sparked outrage online.
The royal tot, accompanied by mom Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and sister Princess Charlotte, was photographed playing on a grassy hill at the Maserati Polo match at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire on June 10.

Most of the photos show the young boy running around or seated next to his mom, however some of the photos show the youngster holding up a small toy gun.
Many took to social media to criticize the royals’ toy choice given the increase of gun violence.
“This isn’t okay anymore…No child in this day and age should look at any gun as a fun toy. This looks far too real,” one Twitter user said.
“Sad to see George playing with a gun with the whole country has a gun/knife crime situation,” another said.

Eminem is facing criticism for using the sound of gunshots during his performance at the 2018 Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee on Saturday.
The rapper was performing his song Kill You, off his 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP, and during the track, what sounds like gunshots can be heard.
Following the performance, many attendees took to social media and posted videos of audience members screaming and ducking when the sound effects went off.
“I hate to be the one to say it, but being someone who suffers from very mild PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), it was EXTREMELY irresponsible and distasteful to end songs w (with) the shot gun sound effect,” social media star Andrea Russett wrote on Twitter. “I have grown up loving eminem and his music but i was extremely triggered to the point of tears (sic).”
https://twitter.com/jen_MCR15/status/1005810169132044289
“To hear a gun shot sound effect and see the entire crowd drop to the floor out of instinct is not funny, cute, or amusing,” she added. “this is the sad reality that we are living. this is not funny or even something to be joked about (sic).”
However, many fans came to his defence, insisting he has ended the song with the same sound effects for several years.
“Eminem has ended Kill You with the gun shot effects for (at least) 6 years now and this is the first time someone ever complains,” one Twitter user replied.
“So apparently Eminem is performing at Bonnaroo right now and a bunch of younger people are losing their s–t because his set included realistic gunshot sound effects,” another added. “I dunno (sic) what song(s) it was from, but it sounds to me like a bunch of people became Eminem fans post 2002.”
Russett’s complaints follow the 2017 shooting massacre at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas and the 2017 bombing at Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert.

Right there! Guns are NOT given by Gawd! The Second Amendment also makes reference to those gun owners operating within "a well regulated militia"!

The Founding Fathers did NOT expect every pissed off drunken fool on the street to be waving pistols!

And we can guess that they DID NOT EXPECT that lunatics would be given access to guns- its that "well regulated militia" thing back to bite Yankee backsides!

Loons are generally NOT WELCOME in a well regulated militia and sensible people ensure that loons are DEPRIVED of guns for the safety of society!

On the other hand- LIE-berals are DELIBERATELY IGNORING the obvious solution of CRIME CONTROL!

LIE-berals would rather RIG jury selection in favour of drunken native thieves than risk losing native votes- even though they ARE losing white support!

LIE-berals have made their choices for supporters and it is NOT a choice in favourt of honest tax payers!

We're not sure how that relates to the moron FBI agent who got drunk with his weapon on him, but we're sure you're retarded enough to make the connection.

Northern Ontario,
Did you read the article, chucklehead?
Yes I
Read it and checked your “Fake news” source

You on the other hand will just post anything that fit your ideology,.......no mater where it comes from, and close your mind to anything else.

most people will do that to a certain degree but you do it all the time

You are delusional

the declaration of independence was quite clear about civilians having the right to rise up and overthrow the government.

If the 2nd is only about 'a well regulated militia' then some mutherfawker icehole just like you changed the rules before the 2nd amendment was passed. Wouldn't you agree?
