Yeah.

When he said ".45" I thought I hope he means a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Long Colt, loaded with the heavy, extra power rounds that pistol is designed to handle.

Because shooting at bears with a .45 ACP is just nuts. No sufficient penetrative ability.

Better than throwing rocks, but that is the best that can be said for it.

If you're gonna hunt bear with a handgun, the important part is to file down the front sight.

That way when the bear rips the gun out of your hands and shoves it up your ass, it'll hurt less.

rest assured when I do venture outdoors and into the bush it is not with a pistol on my hip - although that is a cool look.

there are better places than the hip. i prefer a shoulder holster.

and you seem to think this is an either/or discussion. I would have a rifle nearby as well.

plus you are being silly, bear problems are somewhat rare. I'm comfortable in grizzly country with just a fishing rod.

you live in a fools paradise.

I grew up in the purcell mountains. I suspect that you are too dumb to figure out where that is. You are not from there. Those that know the area know alot more than you do.

Your brain is stuck in "Call of Duty".

Long Winter nights up in the Rogers pass, eh?

By the way, you arrogant little prick, I've been thorough your neighbourhood multiple times, all four seasons. I'm a capital "C" Canadian and I have travelled most of this country quite extensively over my 62 years. You're way too stupid to even consider doing something like that, eh "Griz".

LOL well that about sums it up. You've been through Roger's Pass several times and now you are an expert on grizzly bears. You can't fathom how anyone could walk through the rocky mountains without extreme paranoia for grizzlies so you automatically interpret my comfort for the bush to be internet bravado.
Arrogant prick,eh? clearly, you are projecting.

LMAO.

Once, many years ago, we found a deer carcass that a reasonably large blackie was into. My brother and I both had .357 Magnums, so we decided we would ambush him in the early light, and crack him with the pistoles, thus proving we had bigger balls and less brains than your average early 20s guys.

My Mom was outraged at the idea, and challenged my father: "If this is illegal, why are you helping them do it?"

My Dad, a real woodsman, had the only right answer "Because I want them to get it out of their system while I'm there with a rifle"

:) Anti climax. The deer was only hair left in the morning.....no bear.

my first experience with a bear was a near miss at 25 mph. I was riding my dirtbike down an overgrown switch back on a mountain. I come around the corner and before I realized what was happening I just about ran over a black bear. I don't know who was more scared, he jumped over the berm on the low wall side of the road and was gone so fast I never got another look at him. And me? well lets just say that I had to get off the bike until the palpitations went away LOL

Its a beautiful country. Anyone that has spent time there knows that carrying a firearm all the time - even if you have no ethical problem with it, i certainly never did - carrying all the time just isn't possible or practical.

Please, kid. Please shoot a bear with your saturday night special. Let's see your guts.

Keep Calm. A few more minutes and the internet will have moved on and you will realize that the world did not come to an end.

How do you feel when bears kill bears ? Is that just nature ? Is mankind not part of nature ?

You figure that civilization is a snowflake thing, every man should be for himself and human killing human is just nature taking it's course, pigs?

Your worse than a Neanderthal, pigs. All the evidence is that they got along with each other. Hopefully, you live in a place where civilization is not threatened by you and yours, pigs.

Legal gun owners are not unsafe or irresponsible.

Legal gun owners are not mentally unstable.

Legal gun owners are not criminals.

Legal gun owners are not negligent.

If you're stupid enough to think anti-gun activists believe the statements above, you're too stupid to take part in a rational conversation about responsible gun law.
