Ike certainly had it right about the military-industrial complex. He was probably the last good Republican.

Ford wasnt bad, though he didnt last long.

Still on the not so good form of 'great' I'd say Nixon. People's opinions of nearly all politicians seems to have started to drop considerably from Watergate/Vietnam on. I know, Nixon isnt responsible for Vietnam but he did expand the war considerably when he was elected to end the war, not expand it. Plus he is sadly responsible for the annoying use of the word "gate" on every scandal no matter how small. That drives me crazy sometimes.

Ronny Raygun, Mad Maggie Thatcher, Harpo the horrible, Lyin Brian: All lower than snake****.

Watched a vid not long ago where Ronnie and some cohorts are cracking up laughing, and the caption says : "He told them it will trickle down"

Wish I had saved it. Anyone know where it is.?

You forgot Trudeau. The man that did more damage to Canada than all former and subsequent PMs combined.

The greatest person in history is the one who helped his neighbour with no questions asked or hopes of a return.

Yep, add Idi Amin and you'd have a threesome!
Idi Amin has nothing in common, what a tool lol.

Yep you would be proud of the prick that tried to destroy Canada. Peas of a pod and all that.
He didn't try to destroy Canada, you're an idiot for saying that . He made Canada look better internationally and was the greatest PM of all time.

Its one thing to disagree with Trudeau and think he did a lousy job (which he certainly did on a number of issues) but to compare him to a brutal dictator is going a bit far.

Also, before someone asks why I dont put up that sort of defence when people compare Harper to some dictator or call him a fascist, I do. We have some pretty bad politicians here and have had some bad PMs, but even the worst of them doesnt come anywhere near as bad as a brutal dictator.

Once again you've proven yourself to be just too damned rational and reasonable.

Keep it up! :)

Trudeau hated America and Americans. It's hard for Americans to think of him as a great man.

On the contrary he gave refuge to Americans who protested the war in Vietnam and was well liked here for doing so. If my reading of history is correct, he made Canada's economy less reliant on USA. Many of his critics say he was a socialist but I believe it was Conservative Mulroney who created Canada's biggest deficit in history (which is what his pal Reagan had done here). Don't know that for a fact but it's stuff I've read somewhere before.

Probably here. Because it isn't fact. It's just typical Trudeaumaniac conjecture. That man has become more legend than leader.

"Many critics say he was socialist" that's like some sort of damning critique.
In the context, in which it is used on Trudeau, it is. As it should be.

It would serve the aspiring socialist idiots of the world who admire and embrace tin pot dictators and murderous socialist clowns. To differentiate between the kind of socialism they promote and defend, and the kind of communalism, they're actually dreaming of.

Oh if only they were bright enough!

If you told your kid if he wanted to reside in your house, there was certain things he was required to do, but he said F**k you and the neighbour took him in allowing the kid to live by his own rules, what good do you think that would be doing your kid and how do you think you would feel toward your neighbour?

Your post doesn't really make any sense, you think somehow socialism is synonymous with "tin pot dictators" and murderers. Demonizing socialism or communism while simultaneously benefiting from the imperialistic genocidal history of capitalism , well that's irony at it's finest.
