Queen Victoria.

Definitely.

Harriet Beecher Stowe.
Rosa Parks.
Helen Keller.

If you stop and really think about it there are many. Inspirational, influential, forward thinking particularly if you consider the times they lived in.

One thing I'd like to say further on the topic is, and I think it was mentioned earlier as well, "Great" in terms of history does not necessarily mean popular or well liked. Even someone who had many flaws, or more bad than good, about them have still left a mark in history, even if their 'influence' was to change the shape of civilization away from how they did or viewed things. And that can make them a notable figure.

Sally Ride! ...for being the first woman in space... despite all that nasty speculation on whether she actually raised the bar for the mile-high club.

goph, I'm just telling you that he opposed America on all issues at the time, If America was for something, Trudeau was against it. Canadian/American relations deteriorated during his reign imo.

Turdo hated anyone that wasn't born french speaking and wasn't a socialist. He really should have been a dipper instead of a liberal but then he would never have made it to the PMs office.

I beg to differ. His creating of closer ties to Europe, while snubbing our largest trading partner, might be a good place to start. His tenuous relationship with Nixon. His thumbing his nose at the US while allowing dodgers and deserters to hide out here.

There isn't an honest article or OP/Ed piece that doesn't highlight Trudeau's anti Americanism, in existence.
It just sounds like he didn't want to be too reliant on the U.S. The only criticism I have of Trudeau is that he wasn't anti-American.

After seeing what America has done or doing to other countries Trudeau kept Canada safe and with dignity from American pressures.

Ahh yes, memories of the young Trudeau, dressed in his finest brown shirt, black pants and jackboots, riding his motorcycle around Montreal suburbs.

His love and support for the Vichy French, and belief that Nazi atrocities were grossly overstated.

True stories...

Trudeau was the first world leader to meet John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono on their 'tour for world peace'. Lennon said, after talking with Trudeau for 50 minutes, that Trudeau was "a beautiful person" and that "if all politicians were like Pierre Trudeau, there would be world peace."[33]

Of course it would, but your poor perception and comprehension skills, likely have much to do with that.

The only criticism I have of Trudeau is that he wasn't anti-American.
Case in point.

No doubt.

But like you, Lennon confused socialism, for communalism.

No, like everything you've said so far about Trudeau, it's made-up horse****.

Wow that was convincing.
I wasn't trying to convince you. That's impossible, I could post a video of him admitting it and you would still say it wasn't t rue.

You don't dig facts. You've made that perfectly clear throughout all your incarnations.

It's sounds now like you've conceded that you're liar, ok then.
Your failure to grasp the English language is reason you would come to such an erroneous conclusion, aside. Nope.

I'd suggest you read his book, but given the your limited ability to understand English, it would be for not.
