Isn't it how they ended up there in the first place?

The last residential school closed its doors in ancient history (1996). And if a bunch of Indians are so sensitive as to develop PTSD after just a few years of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse at residential school or intergenerationally from parents suffering PTSD and living in a PTSD-ridden community, that's their problem. Only a commie would think the government should take responsibility for its actions.

Really?

The residential schools were mostly run by Catholic nuns and priests. Yes the government should have been vigilant in ensuring proper conduct in the schools but when did government ever monitor anything to ensure it was handled properly!
There is nothing that can be done now to undo any wrong that was done.

Ummmmm. NO! Protestant by a long shot.

The school boards did what was asked of them by Govt.

From link:
Funded by the Canadian government's Indian Affairs and Northern Development, and administered by Christian churches, predominantly the Roman Catholic Church in Canada (60%), but also the Anglican Church of Canada (30%), and the United Church of Canada (including its pre-1925 constituent church predecessors)(10%)

Ummmmmm. No!

Many people apparently yourself included believe it was Catholic thanks to what was happening in the US at the same time. Even Natives thought that too by calling settlement payments "ar$e money". The bandwagon jumpers.

Did you read the attachment?

Yup. Still think it was just Catholics?

Nope 60% Catholic

The Aboriginal Residential Schools were a network of "residential" (boarding) schools for Indigenous Canadians (First Nations or "Indians"; Métis and Inuit). Funded by the Canadian government's Indian Affairs and Northern Development, and administered by Christian churches, predominantly the Roman Catholic Church in Canada (60%), but also the Anglican Church of Canada (30%), and the United Church of Canada (including its pre-1925 constituent church predecessors)(10%).[1] The policy was to remove children from the influence of their families and culture, and assimilate them into the dominant Canadian culture.[2] Over the course of the system's existence, about 30% of native children, or roughly 150,000, were placed in residential schools nationally

I believe that he was being sarcastic.

Could be...............when I see what looks like drivel I don't generally give it a second thought! :)

Believe whatever you choose to believe. A government plan for indigenous people flies in the face of the self government that's been flagged about. First Nations made it pretty
The riddance of Harper, this is the point which Canada departs fron the established crap. May he moulder. Canadan must persue it's own vision of itself instead of the globalist viosion of Canada, we can't do that ****.

We are a fair people.
