Government's Plan For Indiginous People

The sense of entitlement that the Indiginous People in this country has to STOP. I'm sorry, if you want the benefits of the treaty agreements STAY ON THE RESERVE. When I walk down the street and am accosted by our First Nation's people with BROTHER do you have spare change? Brother do you have a spare cigarette? I figure hell... Firstly..... My cigarette packages have only 25 cigarettes in them.... I have not once found a spare one so quit asking. Secondly, Spare change what a F&*$ing Joke..... Have you seen my tax bills? Last year I looked at my pay and what was stolen for TAXES. I think not.... when more than one third and close to one half of my earnings go to taxes.... I think its time to put an end to this ****e. Now we are bringing in "refugees" Damn when is this going to end. Yes my grandparents were immigrants that helped to BUILD this country. Did they get a hand out..... NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and believe me I know, I've seen the records. It costed them big dollars in 1900 to come to Canada and build our nation and for what??? to give it away to people that had a rough go of it in their own countries? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That third/half of earnings that you pay now is likely to increase considering the collective debts of the Federal & Provincial Governments which are rising all the time.
And the refugees - wow! all we hear about the enthusiastic 'welcomes' is pure hype coming from the politicians. I haven't heard ONE single person say they are in favor of it, and I talk to a lot of people. I think most of the 'enthusiastic welcomers' are families of the refugees who are already here.
The immigrant ancestors of anyone over 50 arrived here by their own efforts and were mostly penniless. People don't appreciate what they get for nothing and Canada is just contributing to a future generation of entitled attitudes.

Gotta love "white" people who think they know what's best for indigenous people. You think you know about them when all you know is the history according to the dominant culture which means you know squat about them. Not everybody thinks our "culture" is all that great. The Protestant work ethic is slavery and you all think you are free. You ain't. Leave the indigenous people to work out their own future. It is none of your business. It is not your money that is being spent on reserves, it is theirs: payment for robbing them blind of their land, resources, culture and language. Yup, Clarence Louis is a very successful Apple.

Wow, a 10 page thread, haven't seen one of those in awhile.
Perhaps it will go a few more pages as Anna seems to be stuck educating the usual trolls. Might as well see how many strikes in on this thread alone and then see if she wants to call it a day or not. Trolls aren't so bad once they know they are the trolls in the relationship.
