Congratulations or condolences? Ottawa smashes snowy record

This one's a record befitting the capital of 'The True North'.

As of April 8th, 2019, Ottawa's had at least 1 cm of snow on the ground since November 13th of last year -- making it 147 days (and counting) since the first flakes coated the ground.

Visit our Complete Guide to Spring 2019 for an in depth look at the Spring Forecast, tips to plan for it and much more

The city has recorded nearly 300 cm of snow (294.7 cm so far) since November, with a hefty 101.8 of that falling in January alone. To put that in context, the average snowfall from November through April is just shy of 220 cm. And there's still more on the way this week.

That being the case why are we paying so much for produce, like green onions $1.30 an oz. ?

Didn't the South have frosts the last couple of years? Plus the fuel surcharge charged by freight hauling companies to compensate for the rising fuel and tax rates around all 3 countries. Not to mention like Walter said rising wages.

Hard evidence without 1mg of political stink Vs. a working theory and giant pile of political stink.

Why on God's green earth would you join the global version of Heaven's Gate?

You can quit a Religion but you can't quit a cult.

It's OK if it's in self defense right?
:)
...and BTW, that's "on", not "off".

Also, the "F" in GFYS was for "freeze" there, for all you csis, rcmp, and fbi ( federal bureau of inability to get the joke) types. Don't get your underwear all mixed up over the word please.

"Global Protein Shortage" -- Why Meat Prices are Exploding, azzhole

http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mLrpT-ssqA

Shamburger was 16 bucks a kilo this weekend at Valuemart in Midland.

The floods in the mid western US are going to cause various shortfalls - the ground will still be too wet to plant well past the season window for many areas around there, and they don't have the huge back up supplies they used to save. Seems the frozen ground doesn't absorb water so this is making the floods way worse then they might have been in warmer times.

The no ball warming freaks don't tell you the heights of civilization (like Rome and Greece and Egypt's great ages ) were during warm spells not cold ones.AS Maurice Strong, the Effetard that invented "glowball warming" has hinted, the goal is to end the middle class so the elites can rule the shivering, starving, homeless, cashless, masses easier.

Hamburger in Midland ... What might THAT be made of? Now that you mention it, you never see fresh road kill around Midland, Pt.McNicoll, Penetang.
