I have another question (excuse me for being cheeky)- HOW is it that Dion who 5 minutes after the election was deemed unfit to lead the Liberals, but is now suddenly deemed fit to be Prime Minister? (or am I being stupid?)

Hey juan, how are you?
Not Bob Rae...I would love to see Justin in there....give the country new blood and perspective and hope.

Dion wasn't deemed unfit. He did not win the election so he agreed to step down (his own choice) and he is still intending to step down and the date is set. Dr. Dion will be leader until the Liberals pick a new one.
He was bloody well deemed unfit to be Prime Minister by the electorate!!!!!:angryfire:
And if Harper had a real mandate from the people, this situation wouldn't have come up.

This is just an informal survey to satisfy my curiosity, and anyone else who's curious.
If you were a Conservative last week, are you still a Conservative today?
If you weren't a Conservative last week, are you now a Conservative today?
If you were you a Conservative last week, are you still a Conservative?
If you weren't a Conservative last week, are you still not a Conservative?
Other: If so, please feel free to explain.
He does have a real mandate from Canadians......his is the ONLY national party, and aside from the Separatists, who wish simply to destroy us, he holds a clear majority.
Only national party? I think you will find that there are three national parties in Canada. If he held a clear majority, he wouldn't be facing defeat.
It is extremely obvious whom Canadians want to lead them........(Separatists are Quebecois, not Canadians.....just ask them) It is obvious whom Canadians want to lead them.....and that is Harper and the CPC.
Last I heard, Quebec was still part of Canada.
