I suppose I qualify as a rightard and from where I sit, Cliffy, it is cud chewing idiots in the political centre that are responsible for the current problems in the USA, not talk show hosts or columnists. The current economic chit storm has been brewing for decades - and political renegades and extremists (like Yours Truly) have been screaming bloody murder about it for about as long. The political centrists ignored us and quietly chewed their cud.
In the last elections we howled about the black idiot vying for the presidency - where his idea of 'action' was hopey-changiness and rhetorical speeches. Despite us, he got elected on the colour of his skin and not the content of his character. Today entire states are going broke. Detroit looks like a post apocolyptic wasteland where people crap on the sidewalks...and politically centrist cattle wonder if they can give the thugs in the teachers unions the perks and bennies they are demanding while tax payers wonder if they will be able to pay the bills or have a job next week.
America is in deep deep chit - and the calm, oblivious poltical centrists don't see any problems. Nor will they unless they themselves are headed for the butcher's block.
There is nothing radical or extreme about asking the idiot in the Whitehouse how he is going to pay for Obongocare. There is nothing wrong in wondering about the ethics of spending your grandchildren into pennury to pay for your excesses today. The leftist/centrist media isn't asking these questions - all they know is that they have a tingle running up their leg because they finally got a black man for a president.
So while you idiots chewed your cud or stuck your heads in the sand - your economies have slowly tanked for the reasonS us 'radicals' said they would. The f-knuckles at Newsweek proudly proclaimed that in America "We Are All Socialists Now". I would agree, and furthermore, America is now living the socialist dream: high taxes, high unemployment, and poverty. It looks good on 'em too.
If you oh-so-intelligent 'centrists' have any bright ideas on how to deal with this problem....now might be a good time to put them out there...
