Well then, since you can't prove a negative, and one making the claim has the burden of proof, I'd say that someone owes someone an apology.

Nothing of the sort. An apology would be due if I am wrong. I don't think I am wrong. But there is no way we can settle this. That is why I promised to drop it, not refer to it again. But apology? Forget it.

Northern Ontario,
If you typed in the key words "Yukon Jack" and "Sarah Palin", you'd probably end up with half a million posts.................................:lol:
I tried.... You match Yukon Jack with "Sarah Palin" in quotes and you get 61 "Posts"
Do the same SPA and "Joan of Arc" and you get 210

A new standard of behaviour on this forum: we are allowed to claim that any poster has said anything at all; we do not need to provide proof, and do not need to apologize, because, of course, as long as we 'think' the other poster said it, we cannot be wrong.

There goes the neighbourhood, eh? Isn't that treading awful close to slander?

Is the topic really worth stirring up sh*t, over, Tenpenny? Or is that your only talent? Who cares what Y.J. or S.J. said to each other in the line of politics?

That is very subjective, courntyboy. I could easily argue the other way. You claim the system is not broken because it is working well for your side, for Republicans; they can block anything that Democrats propose.

If the shoe had been on the other foot (if Democrats had 41 Senators and Republicans 59 senators), you would be arguing that the system is indeed broken, since then it would work against your party (Democrats would be able to block everything that Republicans want to do).

And don’t think that won’t happen. It did happen under Bush. Next time Republicans control Congress, Democrats will block everything they want to do (assuming they have at least 41 Senators).

The fact is, US system is broken, has been broken for a long time now, since the days of Clinton.

Next time, those who obstruct the running of the goverment will be answerable to the people. It is just the people never thought that a political party, either one or both would become so dictatorial. We are not made up of sheep like most other countries. The U.S. political system is not broken, just was a little neglected, and were going to take care of it ASAP.

Sometimes support comes from the most unexpected sources. TenPenny encouraged SirJosephPorter:

"I'm still waiting for you to show us where YJ predicted a 50 state sweep by Palin.

You mention it so many times, you must know where you got it from.

Please humour us, and show us where it is."

Thank, TenPenny!

SirJosephPorter boasted, desperately, after proven to be fraud, careless with truth and facts:

"Incidentally, you could search and pick out individual posts at canada.com forum. I was able to nail him many times over there."

I gave you the satisfaction, by not responding to your posts that repeated nonsense after nonsense.

First of all I want to make it clear that I am very suspect of anything TEnpenny says. But personalities aside, if someone says someone else said something, then the onus of proof is on him to produce it. I forget who it was but someone in this forum said it is impossible to prove a negative, so that sums up the matter. On the other side of the coin what was supposedly said was just a bunch of drivel anyway, so ALL concened should move on to bigger fish.

I agree with JLM. Let's move on...the thread is about a dream candidate for 2012. Now be serious...who would you rather be dreaming of tonight - Obama or Sarah Palin?

Never mind all the diatribe about left wing, right wing, religion, acolytes, etc. - adhering strictly to the thread topic, my vote would be for Sarah!

You keep saying that. But I asked you once and I ask you again, what can people do? They have only two options, vote Democratic or Republican.

I assume you mean that next time they will vote Republican. And you may be right, but how is that going to fix the problem? People were thoroughly disgusted with Republicans in 2006 and 208, how long do you think before they get disgusted with Republicans again? Then what, vote Democratic again?

When the two parties dig their heels in, when there is no desire to dialog, to cooperate, to come to a bipartisan solution, the system is broken, people cannot do a thing about it (except to vote out the party in power).

American system is broken, that is. Canadian system is based upon such adversarial relationship, it works just fine.

let us not go there, YJ. It is not relevant to the topic. But I did nail you many times (remember our argument over Drudge Report?).
