I agree with JLM. Let's move on...the thread is about a dream candidate for 2012. Now be serious...who would you rather be dreaming of tonight - Obama or Sarah Palin?

Never mind all the diatribe about left wing, right wing, religion, acolytes, etc. - adhering strictly to the thread topic, my vote would be for Sarah! :lol:

As to dreaming tonight, I can think of many more beautiful, more gorgeous women to dream about (including my wife) than Joan of Arc

Way back then he suggested - nay, insisted - that The Drudge Report was a conservative website. I readily admitted that anything written by Matt Drudge, himself, tends to be right wing, but the site itself is every bit liberal as it is conservative, presenting links to both liberal and conservative sites and authors in roughly equal measure.

It was also about that time that SirJosephPorter also insisted that Chris Matthews of MSNBC was a Rebublican.

I fully undrestand that some of these posts are off topic, but I'll be damned if I let nonsense like that go unanswered.

You keep saying that. But I asked you once and I ask you again, what can people do? They have only two options, vote Democratic or Republican.

I assume you mean that next time they will vote Republican. And you may be right, but how is that going to fix the problem? People were thoroughly disgusted with Republicans in 2006 and 208, how long do you think before they get disgusted with Republicans again? Then what, vote Democratic again?

When the two parties dig their heels in, when there is no desire to dialog, to cooperate, to come to a bipartisan solution, the system is broken, people cannot do a thing about it (except to vote out the party in power).

American system is broken, that is. Canadian system is based upon such adversarial relationship, it works just fine.

SJP: We have taken other options in our past, were are not stuck with two obvious options.
