Still waiting for the first shred of evidence that voting by mail has any problems. 65 cases and counting.
The post office often doesn't deliver or loses mail on a regular basis. Sorry, but I am a firm believer in personal voting which makes it a lot safer. Then, the possibility of corruption is also higher especially since it seems States do not go through & clear their voting roles of people who have either moved or died. So you have some people receiving more than one ballot because they've changed addresses/states and dead people voting. Na, in person voting is the best.

You understand that in-person voting has the same problems, right? If somebody moved, but the rolls weren't changed to reflect that, they'd be able to vote in their old precinct and their new precinct.

Again, waiting for the first shred of evidedence, 65 cases later.

I guess Oregon's pretty corrupt. They've had elections by mail since 1998.

Seven other states have joined them.
Oregon is notoriously corrupt:

It's also very left wing, and mail in ballots are seen to benefit the left in the states primarily. Just a coincidence i'm sure :)

Interestingly it's believed it would benefit conservatives in Canada. Which is why the libs never brought out a similar program. It's very different here.
Facts, TB... remember, Facts are bad!
Normally i'd assume that was sarcasm but Considering you just ignored the facts i guess for you it's actually your position. ;)

Facts are good. Just because you don’t believe them doesn’t make them bad.

Maybe take a bit of your own advice on it?

Maybe take a bit of your own advice on it?
How long did it take to find sites that match your dogma?

No to the first part. Yes to the second.
We have mail in voting. For ages already.

Apply to vote by special ballot

Eligible electors can apply to vote by special ballot. With a special ballot, you can return your ballot by mail from anywhere in the world, or in person at a local Elections Canada office, or on polling day at any polling location in your electoral district.

If you live in Canada, you may apply once an election has been called.

If you live abroad, you may apply anytime – click the button below.

Maybe you should.

"What he didn’t examine, and what Oregonians have had to deal with, is a more complicated corruption, and an insidious part of the vote-by-mail process known as ballot harvesting."

It's also been noted that not only is there this kind of ballot harvesting but there's also the 'we'll collect your ballot for you and mail it' kind where the person doesn't even know what got marked on their ballot.

SOooooo yeah. There are serious problems with it. There's tonnes of articles examining and disucssing this. But you just ignored them.

So facts don't matter to you in the slightest. Do they.

This section is for electors residing in the electoral district of Mississauga–Lakeshore and who will be in their riding when they submit their application to vote by special ballot.

You can apply online, or by submitting an application to your local Elections Canada office.

How to apply:

  1. Prepare your proof of identity and address. You will need to provide proof of ID with your application.
    Choose one of these options:

Provide one piece of government-issued ID

It must have your photo, name and current address.
    Examples:
    • driver’s licence or
    • provincial or territorial ID card

    Provide two pieces of ID

Show one document with your name and one with your name and address.
    Examples:
    • health card and phone bill, or
    • debit card and bank statement

    Provide an affidavit

Provide an affidavit, signed before a person authorized to receive oaths in the province or territory, showing your name and home address.
(This option does not apply to people applying in person).
See the full list of accepted pieces of ID here.
If you apply online, you will upload copies of your proof of ID.
If you apply in person, you will show your proof of ID to the election worker, or you may take an oath. To do so, you must declare your identity and address in writing, and have someone who knows you vouch for you. Learn more.
  2. Apply online or at a local Elections Canada office.

    To apply online:

    2. Complete the online application process by following the steps on screen. You will be asked once again to confirm your citizenship and eligibility.
Note: We strongly recommend that you provide an email address or phone number when prompted.
By providing your contact information, we can send you your reference number to help you check the status of your application, and we can contact you if need be. If you do not provide contact information, we cannot contact you to let you know if there are issues with your application, which may impact your ability to vote.

    To apply at your local
    Elections Canada office:

    2. Can't print the form? Call or visit your local Elections Canada office to request a form.
    3. Sign your completed form.
    4. Submit your completed, signed form to your local Elections Canada office (either in person, by mail or by fax), along with your proof of identity and address.

Deadlines and reminders

  • Your local Elections Canada office must receive your completed application by the deadline: 6:00 p.m. local time on December 6, 2022.
  • If your application is approved, you will receive a special ballot voting kit.
  • Plan ahead. Make sure your marked ballot will get to your local Elections Canada office by the deadline: December 12, 2022, before the polls close in your riding. You can mail it back, drop it off at the local Elections Canada office or bring it to any polling location on election day.
  • Once you apply to vote by special ballot, this is the only way you can vote. You cannot vote at a polling place. You can vote only once per by-election.

For other electors

If you live in Canada but are not eligible to vote in the current by-election, you may not apply for a special ballot at this time. You may apply only when an election has been called in your riding.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Here they would not be able to. In your country probably. Which is why verification is do important. Here, if you move, when you file your taxes you indicate the change. If you receive a "card" that doesn't belong to you ie. someone else's name on it or you didn't receive it by voting day you then must provide a current utility bill that matches your ID b4 voting. Whole there's always the chance of something going wrong, I believe the way our system is run is pretty secure.

What makes it hard to cheat in a Canadian election is the poll stations are small, the ballots and count are scrutinized and voter lists that keep tabs. If the ballot count and voter list don't match there's an issue then that issue is traceable.
