China offered huge stockpiles of weapons to Colonel Moammar Gadhafi during the final months of his regime, according to papers that describe secret talks about shipments via Algeria and South Africa.
Documents obtained by The Globe and Mail show that state-controlled Chinese arms manufacturers were prepared to sell weapons and ammunition worth at least $200-million to the embattled Col. Gadhafi in late July, a violation of United Nations sanctions.

Think about that second item, especially with regards to who holds a lot of US debt, and think about what that will mean when war with China happens.

I'm not so sure....personally, I think a nice little war kinda cancels all debts.

And that is why new rare earth mines are coming on line. China has no environmental policies which allowed them to produce at lower cost - putting mines at a net loss - Then with the market cornered - approx 90 % they started imposing restrictions on exports.
