I watched an interview earlier on CBC with a gentleman some how related to this `concert` and he stressed it was for awareness of the situation and one not to be forgotten as soon as our media handles such tragic events...2 or 3 weeks.

All fine and dandy but useless with regards to our limited memories unless it struck on our door-steps.

If it makes one feel good by donating a few dollars and oblivious to its destination, I say go ahead. After all, it is a `free` concert!!

Yeah, I can't for the life of me figure out why someone would be opposed to anything that would help those in need. A person's personal opinion of the performance has nothing to do with anything. If Michael Jackson were still around and decided to on a benefit concert, I wouldn't even try to stop THAT.

Some of you have a major misunderstanding of just what a warrior does. We are not sent to any place to build schools and get people to love us. We are sent by our country to do work that no one else wants to do. You want to build schools, send construction workers, you want them to learn, send teachers. When you send a warrior do not expect them to be nice. A warrior is only responsible to two people when being shot at, those to his right and left, and himself. Everyone else is the enemy.

We sent aid and soldiers to provide security and if it wasn't for our aid they be in a hell of a lot worse shape. The Haitians aren't whinning about it...why are you?
