What excuse do I need to say that a legally and scientifically developed drug helped me to the extent that whereas I used to suffer 24/7, I am now pain-free?

I know plenty of pot smokers who've come down with cancer (breast, brain, and bone to name three people I know), so, until there are some more concrete studies showing exactly HOW to cure cancer in a human via pot, I've taken the news articles on the subject, which didn't seem very secret to me, in the same light as I've taken the article about a vaccination for HIV. Hopeful, but, impossible to apply quite yet.

Yep, there are lots of variables, to start with "cancer" includes about 100 diseases and every person reacts to each of those 100 diseases a little differently. A cancer that may kill you at age 40, you may live quite well with at age 70. Cancer of the breast is now quite curable in many cases yet treating cancer of the pancreas the same way won't touch it. So until I hear that canibus cures all these 100 diseases in all patients I would state canibus is not a cure. I would however hazard a guess that most cancers are preventable to a degree by certain lifestyles. I also have a theory of my own that the better a person is at processing oxygen, the healthier they will be over all, as I think oxygen is the main ingredient of life.

Pot does calm the nerves and help some people change their attitudes. I say that it much more important what you think than what you eat.

I don't disagree with that in the least. But canibus is only one agent to calm the nerves, another person might accomplish the same thing by going down to a stream with his fishing rod, so I'd be inclined to call it a "tool" rather than a cure.

I played at a bar once that was owned by a crown prosecutor. He had a room upstairs for the band to hang out during breaks and smoke pot if they wished. How cool is that? The hangups and ignorance surrounding this plant is mind boggling.

Ah, because it cannot be patented. Read up on the criminalization of pot. If you think there is no conspiracy, you have not been paying attention or really have no interest in finding out the truth.
