Jealousy and misery with a hefty dose of brainwashing which goes for all the econauts. If they weren't being brainwashed they'd bitch twice as hard over Hibernia, Terra Nova and Whitehorse as they have 100X potential for horrific disaster.

All that moaning and yet not one, single, solitary one of them will get rid of their car.

Magically hypocritical, eh?

“Obviously we are doing something in this country, given that three quarters of our exports go to the U.S., which will make the economy pretty weak. So to some extent, our recession is a made in Canada recession
Obviously America isn't buying from Canada any longer.

Whining about footing the bill for everyone else in society?... That kind of whining?

It's probably better being that way than being like them! :) In theory, we have an opportunity to do something about it on Oct. 19. All we're hearing about is this horrible recession we are in that Harper caused. I figure being well fed, well clothed and well housed, it's a waste of time worrying about it and anyone who isn't happy with him can vote for the Dippers and head for their local welfare office every month.............................for however long that will work. :) :)

Still job openings for tradesmen in the oil patch. Probably won't be so many for the uneducated crackheads from back east though.

My son is thinking of going back to the patch (he doesn't care for $15 an hour in Vernon) 58 Oil patch jobs listed in Fort St. John.

Why are you so fixated on it? There is no recession here.

People in Canada today don't know what a recession is. Most of the people who have a vivid recollection of the Hungry 30s are dead now but I have a vivid memory of talking to lots of them, my parents included. It wasn't unusual (for those who had a house and food) to hear a knock on the door to find someone begging to do a chore in exchange for a meal.

The early 80s would make the delusional who think we are in a recession commit suicide in fear. Now that was a recession that boarded on depression. Nasty times.
