Harpers handlers should have admitted the recession instead of denial, it will be remembered, if you can't get the right time of day out of him how can you trust him to manage a country.

Well, I've travelled in six provinces and 11 U.S. states, so I guess you could say I've been around the block!

Well, I've been in all of the Provinces multiple times (even Labrador), lived in three and visited two of the three territories. Nunavut is still on my list. I have been in 43 of the American states, almost all of them on the ground, driving through. (obviously not Hawaii)

Yeah, I could have done that too, but I was too busy doing useful stuff. :) :)

Alberta
One thing I know for sure, every a-hole that could not get work in the rest of the country moved to Alberta in the last decade. Place was a lot nicer back then and as far as I'm concerned if this recession should send a bunch of them home, that would be a good thing.

As I remember Alberta invited nay begged for the skilled educated craft people to come to Alberta to build the economic miracle which could not be made by the less than suitable few and far between local goat and cow herders. Now you might argue that but it would be futile and foolish.

Northern Ontario,
No Stompin Tom was better .
heheh...Don't talk to me about stompin' Tom After a long evening of drinking at the winter Carnival in Cochrane Ontario, Im trying to sleep in at the King George Hotel the next morning....who wakes me up in the next room, with paper thin walls, at 8 in the morning practicing his rendition of Big Joe mufferah but Stompin' Tom himself who couldn't sing without banging his heel on the floor...
I could have strangled him.................Nooo I'm not a fan!

Losing over 70,000 jobs last month isn’t a good sign for the Canuck economy.

Losing 70,000 just BEFORE Christmas is NOT a good sign. The added jobs were IMHO, because of forces other than Trudeau.

I wonder if the new Chinese only mine jobs in BC are a plus or a minus?

Anyhow the details: unemployment is up .4 % in only one month - wait 'till winter...
