Recession confirmed as Canada's GDP shrank in 2nd quarter

Canada's economy expanded in June but declined by 0.1 per cent for the second quarter as a whole, meeting the bar of what is legally defined as a recession.
The economy expanded by 0.5 per cent in June, Statistics Canada said.
But that slight monthly uptick wasn't enough to offset the contraction in the previous two months, which means for the second quarter as a whole, the economy shrank.

What blunder? You mean growing from a frozen backwater ranching area to the economic powerhouse of Canada?
I can see where someone from Ontario would hate that.

I can see why a conbot like yourself would agree with the PC spending frenzy in that province.

No, very little of it has much to do with anything going on WITHIN the country!

Whose money is it to spend and what is it being spent on Mr Jealous Dumbf-ck?

Why Alberta's oil is likely to stay in the ground

"To get an operation up and running, oil needs to sell for at least $100. Any lower than that, and it's not even worth digging.
Why are SK MB and NL still making money while AB isn't?

It is a fact now recession is here and the Harperites have to admit it. Another lie
claiming everything was fine and refusing to accept the fact of where we are.
Yes June was better but not enough.
To think there are a whole lot of people out there who have been waiting to vote to
overturn the record of this government. Time marches on and I think there is a
chance to see change what that change is remains to be seen.

I don't know why it's so difficult for SOME people to understand the National economy is not a matter that can be controlled by one man. Both Trudeau and Mulcair have been yapping like a pair of idiots ever since this "recession" made the news first thing this morning. Personally I would love to see them both charged with trying to incite a riot. I guess on a more positive note it is not against the law to be irresponsible in Canada. For those who haven't been listening most of the world is in a deeper recession than Canada. Our numbers turned around in June. Let's celebrate that! :)

Are we still in a so called recession?

According to some. Mostly in Ontario. Alberta is in a poor enough condition that their unemployment rate might get as high as the national average. The rest of the money generation provinces are doing just fine. I think the poor sods that voted wrong in Ontario are worried they might not get their transfer payments this year.
