hello, i have been looking into buying "farm fresh" meat ( pig and cow) in bulk and freezing it. I got a quote from one company Ground Grown Deliveries for 1.79/lb for 200lb for pork and 2.99lb for 200lb of beef. Are these good prices?

That's just sick. But, at least you're not eating our hard working immigrants, just middle aged white people. Still, it seems like something we ought to report to the police. I can't see middle age people of any colour consenting to ending up in your freezer.
Depends...is it cut and wrapped or bulk. If bulk you pay for the weight before the bones are scraped and before excess fat is trimmed.
To get around government regs, buy a weaner pig or calf at a farm and have them raise it to your specs, butcher and wrap it yourself. Price would be good and the farmer wouldn't be breaking any laws. The other solution that a lot of people are using is to buy the cow or pig cut and wrapped and label it "Pet Food".
I would prefer a pig. Beef is too tough for my dentures to handle unless it is ground or sausage.

All animals see the vet before being sold.
Do you know how hot it is out there? Air conditioners cost money and there is always someone with freezer space.
