If you ignore him, DarkBeaver, he eventually wanders away....

Um, no, he does not. Really. Seriously even.

Now I like Petros and all but if I had to use only one word to describe him, that word would be tenacious.

Of course petros will not just wander away nor should he be encouraged to do so by slight or slander or the application of a broom handle. He is an intelligent asset and much loved by the assembly of Canadian Content.

I did it like you said petros, pm the cash quietly.

"Wandering away' implies intelligent choice. I still feel Petros is capable of a higher level of Decorum, and Hopefully he doesn't let me down.

Tenacity is a virtue. Hopefully, the days of posting every second response on a given thread are soon to be 'tempered' with thoughtfull comment.

A lot of it is bullsh*t and misinformation. I'd love to know how these people think they plan on stopping the spread of pest flora, fungi and insects from one end of the globe to the other?[/FONT]
.

And that is a point often overlooked.

Monsanto is not in the 'seed' business but the 'chemical' biz. The cleverness of the 'seeds' is that Monsanto has inserted their 'chemicals' into them to fend off the living things that could harm the plants.

Of course that also corners the market for them on chemicals because supposedly the farmer won't have to buy say a competitors chemical to fend off harm.

What remains to be seen is what effects will these chemically inserted seeds have on whoever consummes them. Will these chemicals have long term Agent Orange or Thalidomide effects on your grandkids?

We will find out..................

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Japanese authorities have canceled a tender offer to buy wheat from the U.S., after unapproved genetically modified wheat was found in an Oregon field, Reuters reported on Thursday. Other major wheat importers South Korea, China and the Philippines also said they were monitoring the situation, after the find stirred concerns that the modified wheat could have made it to the marketplace, the report said. On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said it had conducted a genetic test on the wheat and found that it was an experimental type produced by Monsanto Co. /quotes/zigman/267799/quotes/nls/mon MON -1.97% that hadn't been approved for sale. The European Commission has since said it has asked EU member states on Thursday to check imports of U.S. soft white wheat.

I only consume organic humanely strangled small furry animals with big eyes and my beer is made with natural mountain grown grains freshly crushed by innocent bare footed girls. You've had some aspartame today perhaps.
?
this made me laugh and sort of reminded me of the gf refusing to eat my fantastic pea soup made with ham because she complained of the mistreatment of pigs in factory farms after seeing a documentary exposing such crimes, whereafter I calmly told her not to worry: that the pig in my soup grew up in a petting zoo.... !

Funny how it doesn't seem to matter how the damned critter was raised... heh heh ...that little ploy didn't seem to spark a renewed hunger for my most delicious pea soup!

That is not how it works.

Which explains why we have so many people with severe health problems. Our bodies simply reject alien foods or cannot draw the required nutrients out of them. Assuming of course Monsanto has actually left anything of value in their poison.
OTH my wife make good money healing the people poisoned by Monsanto.
You've been drinking GMO beer for well over a decade.

Two million people in 52 countriesmarched against Monsanto last week in protest of genetically-modified food and in support of consumer choice. There’s international pressure on this GMO giant like never before.
But proposed legislation in North Carolina would make it illegal for whistleblowers to expose how Monsanto and other corporations are threatening public health and the environment.
North Carolina’s SB 648 is appropriately named the “Commerce Protection Act.” The bill makes it illegal to obtain employment in order to “create or produce a record that reproduces an image or sound occurring within the employer’s facility, including a photographic, video, or audio” or “to capture or remove data, paper, records, or any other documents

"Abstract
The physical-disease charcteristics of 125 skid row and 736 non-skid row male alcoholics were compared in detail to determine whether skid row alcoholism is characterized by a distinct medical, as well as a social, profile. Trauma, tuberculosis, venereal disease, and malnutrition were more common in the skid row alcoholics. Epilepsy, peripheral neuritis, acute brain syndromes, chronic brain disease, and lifetime recordings of all nervous system illnesses also occurred more frequently in the skid row group, as did gastritis, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, ulcer surgery, and postgastrectomy syndrome. Fatty liver, hypertension, ischemic heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and cardiovascular illnesses of all kinds, however, were less common. The skid row medical profile is, in part, the product of a unique sociologic environment. Thus, skid row alcoholism may be viewed as a distinct sociomedical entity."

You didn't bother to watch the documentary, did you?
I did years ago. Since that time I've weeded out the BS on both sides of the equation. Organic obviously had more weeds.

As I mentioned above and what was noted by the GMO white wheat article being caught, inspectors are on the ball which means that organics which are loaded with noxious weed contamination and are lower grade and don't meet the standards.

Organics can't meet those export standards so their only option is to attack the GMO that does meet export grade standards so they can have the domestic market.

What exactly are the standards for the Organic Label? Any idea?
