Yeah, I have that one, excellent movie, but I do get a little tired of sergio leone
music, but other than that, that movie is great, have always loved Henry Fonda.

I managed to purcase the tv series 'how the west was won', james arness,
bruce boxleitner, excellent series.
I bought it from a place in the u.s. that sells hard to find movies, so the
picture and sound are not the best, but we got used to it, and enjoyed it
all just the same.

Space Cowboys was fun. 4 old geezers performing funny antics and stuff. :D
I liked Paint Your Wagon, too. Awfully funny. High Noon and Once Upon a Time In the West were good, but I always had a thing for Henry Fonda (good character or bad didn't matter).

Turner Classic Movies is TCM. No ads.

Warlock was on just yesterday on TCM. My favourite Henry Fonda Western, though, and i'd put it in as the best Western of all time is Once Upon a Time in the West, with its plaintive score, and tightly drawn characters. It was certain the ultimate of the 'Spaghetti Western' genre.

I have all of those movies, very good, and I also have a thing for Fonda, I have
an old western called 'The Tin Star' with fonda and anthony perkins, and also
The Oxbow Incident, with Fonda, they are both old movies, which I don't always
like, but these two movies are good.

Me, too. I couldn't remember the name of The Oxbow Incident or I would have put that in there, too. I don't think I saw "Tin Star", though. I'll keep an eye out for it.

I used to watch nearly any show with Robert Duvall. Lonesome Dove was a good show. Then when he said that he hated Canada and he hated Canadians, it ruined it all for me. I have never watched a show with him in it since then.

Now isn't that funny, VanIsle, I used to like Duvall too but for the exact same reasons noted above, I quit watching anything in which he appears.

I read that information here some time ago too, but have decided heisn't going to keep me from enjoying his movies, they are great andthe only person who loses out from 'not' watching will be me, hecouldn't care less, so I will continue.

Yes I agree, I own all of the lonesome dove westerns, the
mini series, and the tv series, they are great, we play
them all at least once every couple of years.

I bought and watched 'Broken Trail', Robert Duvall, and
Thomas Hayden Church, excellent western, and fairly new, based on a true story.

Open Range is also very good, Robert Duvall and Kevin Kostner.

I couldn't care less what duval likes or doesn't like, he isn't stopping me
from enjoying the westerns I like, and I really would like to see some proof
of that statement anyway, he doesn't seem to be that stupid, to make a statement
like that, even if he does feel that way, as it would cause ill feelings toward
him, who has does lots of movies and tv westerns in canada, and the first thing
they think of, is their reputation and what others think about them,
actors are very vain, and like to be admired.

They don't make good westerns any more.

I've got westerns from long ago, right up to present,
and there are fabulous westerns from all times. Some
of the new ones, like I mentioned above are top notch,
and some of the old ones stink.

Unforgiven is quite new, and very very good.
The big country, very old, is excellent.
