As much as I would like to bash the Brits over their treatment of the Irish, this thread is about people getting hurt near the British Parliament. I wouldn't consider what happened "an attack on Parliament". It was just nearby.
I said this on another thread, but it is appropriate for here as well. You have a group of people who are increasingly more demanding and violent. They have migrated from the ME into Europe, unchecked, by the thousands. How do you deal with the numbers? How do you deal with the unlawful behaviour? Why do you think citizens of these countries are getting angry at the invasion?
All governments are responsible to protect their citizens first.
1. Stop all aliens from entering the country, except tourists, students and business travellers.
2. Enforce the rule that immigration is a process which must be properly carried out. Put in your application. Don't just show up at our door. We'll slam it in your face.
3. Arrest, detain and deport violators. It is cheaper to fly or boat them back to wherever they came from than to allow the flow of people to enter into any country virtually unchecked, and hang around with nothing to do.
4. Buy some ad space in ME newspapers or their media showing frozen or fingerless people illegally crossing, or dying while attempting to cross, a border. Show police arresting and jailing violators. No flowers, rainbows or free meals.
In Canada, we run harsher ads about people shoplifting or drinking and driving than we do about illegal entry.
ISIS is admitting to this British attack, yet people continue to excuse their behaviour. Appeasement doesn't work.
