I did not hear that but it would not surprise me.
Massachusetts has a habit of letting killers go free to kill again.
Possibly including one illustrious fellow from Mass. who died recently. :lol::lol:

A couple years back Massachusetts released a violent criminal against the professional advice of Prison Doctors. Nevertheless he was released.
Released, went to Washington state, killed a newlywed couple and that was that.
A judge in Newton Mass released a British Au Pair after she was convicted of first degree murder for shaking and smashing the head of the baby in her care. Yup, convicted of First Degree Murder by a jury and the Judge simply let her go during the sentencing. He did not agree with the jury so instead of sentencing her to life in prison he said...
"Time served"
Yes, I remember the case of the British Au Pair, several years ago now. I thought possibly there was some doubt about her guilt.
There was no doubt at all. Shaking baby syndrome and a smashed skull while in her care. She was convicted by a jury.
What happened was it was a very public case and televised internationally. Protests here in Massachusetts and England swayed the judge.
I personally believed her crying out when she was convicted of first degree murder caused the judge to put aside justice and chose political correctness.
As stated earlier she was a suspect in the delivery of a mail bomb in Newton Mass. A doctor was critical of some of her research and recieved a pipe bomb in the mail.
The FBI had her as one of the main suspects but was unable to prove it. One thing that I found interesting with Law Enforcement is the way they craft questions. So the FBI Agent asked her...
"Have you ever attached a stamp to an envelope or package for something other than delivering a message or gift?"
She grinned.
That is what the agent said. She went no further and the agent said he did not know what the grin was for, but that she did.
I think she is going to find herself on Death Row.

I can't help thinking "Job for life." is a bad idea. I don't know the exact limits we put on our judges but we have some dandies.
You have that right #Juan, Air India trial comes to mind- that was heard and decided by judge alone. It's not the judge that was so bad there as the system, I think the judge just happened to arrive at the right conclusion to ensure his own longevity...:smile::smile:
Yeah....I read about his criticism of the woman's testimony in the case (the most important prosecution witness)......either the judge is completely out of touch with reality.......or the radical Sikhs got to him with threats.
And I will always believe the latter.
You mean we are supposed to be politically correct when addressing criminal? I don't think so! 8O8O Far as I know #Juan is a law abiding citizen.

I can think of all kinds of names to call a$$holes who would blow up an airliner and kill 329 people they didn't even know. Are you worried about their feelings? I'm not...
Right on #Juan. All this political correctness when carried to the extreme is far more sickening than any disparaging names for scum. :lol:
