Conservatives are over by 45 billion this year alone and will say openly they won't be
balancing a budget until 2014 so they too are racking up billions of dollars. At least
Jack will spend it on infrastructure and things that matter not planes without engines.

... And people being worried about the NDP raising taxes?

Which would you rather have?

Increased Taxes to pay off the debt...... or lose your job & have funding for many important programs cut that this nation depends on.... like what the Cons have been doing?
You mean like welfare.

At least with higher taxes you still have your job and still have money coming in to pay for those taxes.... rather then having no job because you were laid off and then end up sucking money from the government as an unemployed bum.

What planet are you living on. How are higher taxes going to help create jobs. Oooooooooooh you must be a government employee.

Oh yeah.... there's no actual proof that taxes would go up in the first place and it's all just fear mongering assumption at this stage.

Undoubtedly they will.

And if higher taxes is the worst argument people can think of using against the NDP, then there's really not much to worry about.

Isolationism, economic ruin, manufacturing will leave. When Ray days become Lay days some of you guys who aren't on the government dole will wake up.

What a way to discuss the issues of the day. Calling the PM a scumbag, and the other
two idiots. Colpy face it the cleanest in 27 years doesn't mean much when we have the
cabinet ministers lying to parliament, and assistants under investigation, and a host of
other misdeeds. slightly better doesn't count, and besides I am tired of all the financial,
sex and lie scandals. Its time to give Jack a chance and besides we can wait with baited
breathe to see if his scandal will be a better one. Maybe we should have the scandal of
the year award. If the surge continues into Friday, we could be talking about Tsunami Jack
If I may say, the accusations against the Conservatives were just charges brought about by the opposition and were never proven. The contempt charge was trumped by the opposition too for the sole purpose of casting Harper in a bad light.
If Layton were to become Prime Minister, he would have a minority government. His plans for Canada would be blocked at every turn, just like Harper's were. We would just see more bickering, backstabbing, do-nothingness and jousting for political power like we have seen over the past 3 years.
380 million dollars will have been spent on an election that changes nothing!

So what you are saying is that we had better give Jack a majority to avoid the stalemate.

If Layton is crowned, I'm hoping the Ol' Boys Clubs will take the double-barrel hint during their time away from the trough to get leadership that remembers who the people are....

Is that like.. $30 Billion on fighter jets?

Jets that appear to rising above the estimated price that we were promised?

Or is that like $1 Billion for an boondoggled G20?

$30 Billion on fighter jets just might be a good investment over the next 20 years. Is it possible to build multi purpose jets?

Politics is based on a lot of false premises. I don't think Harper is near as scummy as Trudeau or Lyin' Brian and possibly almost as upright as Chretien himself.

Prove it.

Can you prove any of your insurance policies are a good investment?

Why do people who rarely, or never actually show proof, ask for it so much?

I'm not sure $1000 per Canadian (or much much more) spent on stealth fighters is the best way we can support our troops with new equipment. The current fighters have no problems dropping ordinance on our adversaries. Do the Taliban even have RADAR systems? How many soldier lives will these fighters save? Aren't most of them killed by IEDs? I'm not a military expert, but I don't see how these systems help fight an insurgency. Our fighters seem to have no problems in Libya.

Sounds like a dumb plan and a huge waste of money.

Ya, I know, you and Cannuck have a nasty habit of doing that.

But you've done the right thing, admitting it, is the first step.

I just asked a simple question.

No one has made any rational arguments to validate the cost.

So, you can side step and use all the politricks you want, but if either you or JLM decide to change your mind on showing why it is a reasonable cost then let me know. Believe me, I'm open to an honest vision of the future.

And in that future, to the prudent and reasonable person, we do not need these jets.

Hitting things in Libya is like shooting fish in a barrel. The Libyan airforce and missile defense system was destroyed in the first days of the war by the U,S. and Great Briton all they are doing now is committing murder. All you want to do is give your soldier just enough so that he can kill without being killed. Do that and you have sent him to war properly.

.. You mean like welfare.

What planet are you living on. How are higher taxes going to help create jobs. Oooooooooooh you must be a government employee.

Tell me.... how has Harper's wonderful teeny-tiny % drop in taxes help create jobs?

How has Harper & the Conservatives help bring back many of the jobs that were lost on their watch?

How does cutting a bunch of people's jobs help those people out compared to simply raising taxes and leaving those people's jobs alone so that they still have money coming in?

What planet am I living on?

Clearly not the same planet as you, where you somehow magically believe Harper and his goons actually did anything worthwhile to help out anybody other then big corp and the banks........ Remember how he said that helping them would allow their profits and benefits trickle down to the little guy.....

.... how has that worked out?

Hmmmm???

Please do tell, as I'm not the only one here wondering & waiting on how you're going to pull that rabbit out of Harper's arse.

solationism, economic ruin, manufacturing will leave. When Ray days become Lay days some of you guys who aren't on the government dole will wake up.

I'm not on anything, thank you very much..... and considering manufacturing, such as the auto industry and lumber have already left while on Harper's watch, I doubt it can get any worse then it already is.

The Con-Artists have already had multiple chances to show they can handle things and they screwed up royally... it's time to give someone else a chance to show they can fix the crap he and his idiot friends have created. And considering the NDP have created and introduced many of the programs and systems you take for granted everyday, such as our health care system, I'm willing to give them the chance to see what else they can do.

If it was up to the Con Artists, we would be stuck with a US style health care system long ago, where private insurance companies would deny everybody coverage for just about anything, citing "Experimental" or some other damned excuse..... regardless of how much money people put into their busiensses.

Sure, go ahead and bash the NDP.... bring up all the fear mongering BS you wish..... because that's all you have left to give..... because you don't have one shred of an example showing what good the Cons have done for this nation while in power. There's no more defences or arguments to back the Cons retaining power..... so all you have left are booga-booga scenarios and what-ifs.

*clap clap*

Bravo.
