Actually that poster is dead on except for the nuclear attack, which paradoxically probably saved Japanese lives by getting it to surrender early.

It had suggested contitional surrender quite some time before negotiations closed. The act remains the apex of evil for the entire century and every modern nation dreads the same remedy.

I suggest you look up what Curtis Lemay had planned for Japan so far as strategic bombing of Japan is concerned and you might change your mind. And the killing of several hundred thousand Japanese in Hiroshima and Nagasaki pales into insignificance compared to what the Japanese did in China and pretty much everywhere else they invaded. Read a few World War II histories - I have.

Cracks start to emerge in Trump infrastructure pledge

It’s not at all clear that President-elect Donald Trump’s plans to spend massively on infrastructure are going to unfold as he promised.

Trump made rebuilding the nation’s aging roads, bridges and airports very much part of his job-creation strategy in the presidential race.

But lately lobbyists have begun to fear that there won’t be an infrastructure proposal at all, or at least not the grand plan they’d been led to expect.

From the day he entered the presidential race to the moment he declared victory, Trump pledged an infrastructure renewal. He cited decaying bridges, potholed roads and airports like New York’s LaGuardia that he said reminded him of the “third world.”

Trump or his campaign also mentioned schools, hospitals, pipelines, water treatment plants and the electrical grid as part of a job-creation strategy that would make the U.S. “second to none.” It was a rare area in which House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats hoped for common ground with the president-elect. The possibility of a major infrastructure spending plan is one of several factors that have fueled the recent run-up in stock prices. But did he mean it?

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tried to tamp down expectations last week, telling reporters he wants to avoid “a $1 trillion stimulus.” And Reince Priebus, who will be Trump’s chief of staff, said in a radio interview that the new administration will focus in its first nine months with other issues like health care and rewriting tax laws. He sidestepped questions about the infrastructure plan.

In a post-election interview with The New York Times, Trump himself seemed to back away, saying infrastructure won’t be a “core” part of the first few years of his administration. But he said there will still be “a very large-scale infrastructure bill.”

He acknowledged that he didn’t realize during the campaign that New Deal-style proposals to put people to work building infrastructure might conflict with his party’s small-government philosophy.

“That’s not a very Republican thing — I didn’t even know that, frankly,” he said.

Trump transition officials didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The mixed signals on infrastructure have lobbyists and lawmakers puzzled.

“We’re worried,” said Brian Turmail, a spokesman for the Associated General Contractors of America, which represents more than 26,000 construction companies and 10,500 service providers and suppliers.

“Are we hearing signs that people just don’t know what the plan is?” he asked. “Or signs that people don’t want any kind of plan? We don’t know the answer.”

It loses a lot of luster when it is spelled properly.

An American smart phone/tablet and free broadband if you watch ads.

Let's hope putting the people back to work doesn't mean parking the machines. If a lot of the manufacturing and such is to be used by people when they are not working then the math is not hard to do. I can see spots like this where there are 10,000 'servants' for 1,000 'rich guests' and those 10,000 servants are tourists from the 'economy class. but they get to use the same slopes as the rich and famous.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Japanese electronics company Panasonic and U.S. electric car maker Tesla said Tuesday they plan to begin production of solar cells at a factory in Buffalo, New York.

The two companies said they finalized an agreement calling for Tokyo-based Panasonic to pay capital costs for the manufacturing. Palo Alto, California-based Tesla made a "long-term purchase commitment" to Panasonic.

Their statement gave no financial figures.

The factory in Buffalo is under development by SolarCity Corp., a San Mateo, California-based solar panel company owned by Tesla. The photovoltaic cells and modules will be used in solar panels for non-solar roof products and solar glass tile roofs that Tesla plans to begin making, the announcement said.

Production is due to begin in mid-2017. Tesla said it will create 1,400 jobs in Buffalo, 500 in manufacturing and plans further expansion in Buffalo.

Panasonic also is to work with Tesla on next-generation technology, the companies said.

New York state has committed $750 million to build and outfit the plant at Buffalo's RiverBend site, the centerpiece of Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo's "Buffalo Billion" program to revitalize the upstate region's largest city.

SolarCity has committed to investing $5 billion over 10 years in New York state, hiring almost 1,500 workers at the Buffalo plant for five years and employing at least 2,000 more people across New York in exchange for use of the state-owned plant.

In October, when word emerged about the possible manufacturing collaboration, the head of New York state's economic development agency said SolarCity will be held to job creation promises made when the state committed funding to build and outfit the plant, which is expected to begin production next summer.

Consumer confidence climbed in December to the highest level since August 2001 as Americans were more upbeat about the outlook than at any time in the last 13 years, according to a report Tuesday from the New York-based Conference Board.
Key Points

  • Confidence index increased to 113.7 (forecast was 109) from a revised 109.4 in November
  • Measure of consumer expectations for the next six months rose to 105.5, the highest since December 2003, from 94.4
  • Present conditions index fell to 126.1 from 132
  • Share of Americans expecting better business conditions six months from now rose to 23.6 percent, the highest since February 2011, from 16.4 percent

American households are expecting a Donald Trump administration to deliver. They are more upbeat about the prospects for the economy, labor market and their incomes, according to the Conference Board’s report. The results corroborate surveys by the University of Michigan and the National Federation of Independent Business, which showed jumps in household and business sentiment on Trump’s pledges to boost jobs, cut taxes and ease regulations.

The sad fact is Hitler went round saying I will make Germany Great Again
Hitler had the drain the swamp mentality he was a sociopath and a narcissist
I am not saying Trump is the third Anti Christ but he fits a pattern of oddball
leaders He is not interest in any rules of society except his own. America will
start well after which Americans we see that what they elected their fathers and
grandfathers went to fight against.
We are living in a different world than the mid twentieth century but we are going
to be subjected to four years of a self centered spoiled brat.
He is not a conservative or a liberal he has no code to live by except his own penchant
for greed and self interest. what saddens me is many Republicans who showed they
were descent people, in the first frame of the emerging picture, became politically drunk
by the time the second picture was taken. There are a few who still command respect.
to some degree with are about to relive a period of troubled history.and yes the world is
going to be less safe, with a leader fueled by ego instead of reason
