He well may be, but I think it's much wiser to operate under the assumption he is very much alive and just rarin' to do some more mischief.

Yea....and if we carpet bomb every square inch of the place were bound to come out winners!

Then, to be fair, we would have to plant IUDs in every woman over here so we don't continue producing our particular brand of 'terrists' like Dubbya and Cheney.

Nothing less than a radical hysterectomy for another potential Bush brought into this world.

I can foresee in the not too distant future that all fetuses will be genetically screened for genetic defects. Someone told me the other day that the brain of a gay person was wired differently than a straight. I retorted that if they looked they would find that a religious person's brain is wired different than a non-religious one, so where do we draw the line? That would depend on the bias of the one in control of the system at any given time.

As for radical hysterectomies, they tried that in Alberta's sterilization of native girls. Somehow, the native population managed to hold its own in spite of the governments best efforts. Only shows to go ya, that life will find a way to continue. I don't thnk we will ever be able to weed out the idiots before birth.

The United States doesn't really exist. It's merely an artificial construct so the oil companies, the Illuminati, the Bush family and da Joos can take all your money.

Still singing the company song eh Toro? We have a drinking engagement remember. Don't wait to long to escape to Nova Scotia with that case of whiskey. I can't keep ice forever you know.;-)

That's been done over and over in the middle east. Since you advocate such an approach JBeee I strongly recommend you take a look at the results:

WARNING: Graphic Images of Iraq from March 2003 which never made our news:

People should know why OBL and his cadre have it out for the US and Israel. His world view was shaped by the cruelty, injustice and oppression Israel and the US have imposed on millions of people throughout the middle east. The war crimes committed by the US in Iraq since 2003, Israel's war crime in Lebanon during 2006 and the ongoing crime against humanity committed by Israel against the people in Gaza since they democratically elected Hamas in 2006 are just recent examples.

OBL is very clear about his motivations and tells anyone who will listen:

From an interview with Osama Bin Ladin was conducted by Peter Arnett in eastern Afghanistan in late March 1997.

BIN LADIN: We declared jihad against the US government, because the US government is unjust, criminal and tyrannical. It has committed acts that are extremely unjust, hideous and criminal whether directly or through its support of the Israeli occupation of the Prophet's Night Travel Land (Palestine). And we believe the US is directly responsible for those who were killed in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq. The mention of the US reminds us before everything else of those innocent children who were dismembered, their heads and arms cut off in the recent explosion that took place in Qana (see reference to Qana below) This US government abandoned even humanitarian feelings by these hideous crimes. It transgressed all bounds and behaved in a way not witnessed before by any power or any imperialist power in the world. They should have been considerate that the qibla (Mecca) of the Muslims upheaves the emotion of the entire Muslim World. Due to its subordination to the Jews the arrogance and haughtiness of the US regime has reached, to the extent that they occupied the qibla of the Muslims (Arabia) who are more than a billion in the world today. For this and other acts of aggression and injustice, we have declared jihad against the US, because in our religion it is our duty to make jihad so that God's word is the one exalted to the heights and so that we drive the Americans away from all Muslim countries. As for what you asked whether jihad is directed against US soldiers, the civilians in the land of the Two Holy Places (Saudi Arabia, Mecca and Medina) or against the civilians in America, we have focused our declaration on striking at the soldiers in the country of The Two Holy Places. The country of the Two Holy Places has in our religion a peculiarity of its own over the other Muslim countries. In our religion, it is not permissible for any non-Muslim to stay in our country. Therefore, even though American civilians are not targeted in our plan, they must leave. We do not guarantee their safety, because we are in a society of more than a billion Muslims. A reaction might take place as a result of US government's hitting Muslim civilians and executing more than 600 thousand Muslim children in Iraq by preventing food and medicine from reaching them. So, the US is responsible for any reaction, because it extended its war against troops to civilians. This is what we say. As for what you asked regarding the American people, they are not exonerated from responsibility, because they chose this government and voted for it despite their knowledge of its crimes in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and in other places and its support of its agent regimes who filled our prisons with our best children and scholars. We ask that may God release them...

Qana 1996 from Amnesty International
Attack on UN Compound at Qana, 18 April 1996

The head quarters compound of the Fijian battalion of UNIFIL (UN peacekeepers) in Qana was attacked by IDF artillery shortly after 2pm on 18 April. At the time, there were over 800 Lebanese civilians inside the compound; 102 of them were killed and hundreds were wounded. In addition, four UNIFIL personnel were wounded.

Eye-witness accounts and television pictures of the attack and resulting devastation shocked people around the world. The UN Secretary-General, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, immediately sent his Military Adviser to "investigate the incident and to identify steps that could be taken to prevent a recurrence". The resulting report of Major-General Franklin van Kappen, formally transmitted to the UN Security Council on 7 May 1996, concluded:

"While the possibility cannot be ruled out completely, it is unlikely that the shelling of the United Nations compound was the result of gross technical and/or procedural errors."

Amnesty International delegates, including a high-ranking military adviser, were able to visit Qana, inspect the compound and surrounding area and interview extensively UNIFIL personnel and civilians who were in the compound at the time of the attack. The data collected was further analyzed by additional experts and specific questions put to the Israeli authorities, who did not respond. On the basis of all the information available, Amnesty International believes that the IDF intentionally attacked the UN compound, although the motives for doing so remain unclear....

Amnesty International: UNLAWFUL KILLINGS DURING OPERATION "GRAPES OF WRATH" Summary

10 years later Israel did the exact same thing again in the same place:

A preliminary Human Rights Watch investigation into the July 30 (2006) Israeli air strike in Qana found that 28 people are confirmed dead thus far, among them 16 children, Human Rights Watch said today.

“The deaths in Qana were the predictable result of Israel’s indiscriminate bombing campaign in Lebanon,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, director of the Middle East and North Africa division at Human Rights Watch... Thirteen people remain missing, and some Qana residents fear they are buried in the rubble, although recovery efforts have stopped....

The Israeli government initially claimed that the military targeted the house because Hezbollah fighters had fired rockets from the area. Human Rights Watch researchers who visited Qana on July 31, the day after the attack, did not find any destroyed military equipment in or near the home. Similarly, none of the dozens of international journalists, rescue workers and international observers who visited Qana on July 30 and 31 reported seeing any evidence of Hezbollah military presence in or around the home. Rescue workers recovered no bodies of apparent Hezbollah fighters from inside or near the building.

The IDF subsequently changed its story, with one of Israel’s top military correspondents reporting on August 1 that, “It now appears that the military had no information on rockets launched from the site of the building, or the presence of Hezbollah men at the time.”

Israel/Lebanon: Qana Death Toll at 28 | Human Rights Watch

People like OBL are created when our governments support deliberately killing innocent civilians and the general population in the west expresses indifference.

When Israel and the US do this:

Qana 2006

It makes people feel like this:

Protests in Beruit a day after Qana II

How hard would it be for al Qaeda to recruit these young men?

UN Compound in Beruit the day after Qana 2006

If Israel and the US did these things to Canada would you be willing to fight against it?

People on the receiving end of Israeli and American bombs aren't stupid. They can see the death and destruction around them and they blame us. We elect the people that make the decisions to kill millions of innocent people. That's why some of them are willing to hijack an airplane and fly it into the headquarters of the bastards they believe are responsible.

So effectively the west's crimes and attitudes like JBeee create monsters like OBL. OBL is payback for the crimes the west commits the middle east.

Posts like JBeee's show we haven't learned much.

Was the origin of "al Qaeda" not the faceless CIA "database" of mujahideen fighting the Soviets in the big A?

Yeah people like to forget how Osama was supported by the U.S. in the past. The guy and his organization (al Qaeda) really turned out to be a bunch of two-faced ingrates, eh.

He was only supported by the u.s. because he was part of the afghan
army fighting the soviets, 'during the cold war' era, so it is natural and
expected that the u.s. would support almost any group who is being intimidated
by the soviets, things have changed drastically since then, as we all know.
We have to also change with the times, and see how and why these changes
took place.
I do not support anything the u.s. did in iraq, but I do understand why he
was supported back then, and he was not their leader at that time, just part
of the afghan fighters.
He also wanted to lead the army against iraq, defending Kuwait, but the saudis
turned him down, which left him dissapointed and bitter. He is nothing but
a 'thug', with vendettas against the west, but I would never gi ve him the
respect of doing anything credible, or give him the respect of actually feeling
sincere about his raving and ranting, he has never done anything heroic, by
helping others in the middle east, he is just a drop out from saudi arabia,
and another power seeker, no different than bush, cheney or other similar
so-called leaders.
Real heros are ghandi, and others who love their own people and will stand
up for them without violence and hatred.
