Cliffy once moaned to us about his confession to a medicine man on how he was a reincarnated Cree and was sort of upset he's an old white man now.

Which part? The happier, the healthier, the freer, or the easier? And how does one quantify those values?

The healthier and the freer. Health you can examine with disease and life expectancy. The worst human diseases are the by-products of agriculture and population density. As for life expectancy, it wasn't until I think the 20th century that our life expectancy caught up to pre-agricultural life expectancy. But today we have the double advantage of low infant mortality and people living well into old age, whereas prehistoric people had high infant mortality but could easily live into old age if they survived childhood. Humans in agricultural societies either died in great numbers in early childhood or didn't live much into adulthood because of sanitation, disease, nutrition and overwork.

As for freedom, I suppose that's more relative. Agricultural societies are the origins of work specialization, class, and rigid social structure and organization. Pre-agricultural societies all organized themselves differently. They weren't all hippie lovefests.

The effects of AGW are still easily avoidable.

And we are ****ing less than we used to do that helps too.

There are 1000 ways humans will destroy themselves. Climate change is one of the least likely ones.

Is that nuclear plant in Japan still pumping out thousands of radioactive waste everyday, still?

I'll make a bet that's damaged earth more in the last few years then all the petroleum in the world ever will. And think of all the benefits we get from burning petroleum, and add that to the equation.

Prior to agriculture, humans lived happier, healthier, freer and easier lives, claims one of the world’s top scientists and thinkers.

There is no way at all to know if this us true. One clue that it isn't is that almost everywhere in the world where the technology of agriculture became available, the people there took it up completely, regardless of their background, location or culture. This would not hsve happened if the pre-agricultural world was such a garden of eden.

Nobody is mentioning the fact that this was life during an ice-age and primitive could live very well so that must mean we as being highly civilized (in our opinion) would all die should an ice-age (and easy living) return. Reading and understanding what you are reading are two different things apparently.

Honestly, as I ponder history, I would say one of the biggest mistakes would be humanities propensity to think that the grass is greener on my neighbors side of the fence.

Capacity is controled automatically by the planet, in our case Earth.

Good solar exposure can fatten portfolioes, there's quality tans and there's the cheap imitations.

Hahaha. I expected this kind of response from the usual suspects. Critical thinking is not looked kindly upon by sheeple.

Of course, because you obviously have this intelligent design stuff all figured out.

They still live like animals in some part of this world. Not sure why they all wanted to move over here. It's odd.

Maybe design is an on going process who knows

Considering design has been on going for the last infinity, I'm sure the universe has got it pretty much perfect. No need to play with it that much.

You got more chances of getting it wrong, then getting it right at this point.

It's likely there are very complicated importent reasons for the way things are we haven't even begun to scratch at understanding.
