    We had a terrible storm last night or early this morning. Woke up to the sound of big wind and lots of rain but right now it is sunny. Unless it snows, it's pretty green here all year and most of the trees are evergreens so we don't get too many bare trees. A clear day like today makes a beautiful day to just look out over the ocean. Better if I am standing but still okay right from my chair.

    Thanks Shadow. I need some peace in my life right now and I guess that is why I chose it. While we are not quite that close to the water, it is much like the view from our living room/dining room windows.

    i orginally registered here under the handle, sperminator. ron asked me to change it to something else, so i chose a similar sounding handle, spaminator. if it could be changed back to sperminator that would be great. lol. :lol:

    i don't like using different handles for different boards.:-( its easier and less confusing to use the same handle for each board.:smile: i wish i could have used my old citytv grapevine/spacecast nickname, sperminator. lol. :lol: i'll use the spaminator handle for the time being as long as all of moderators are ok with it. :smile:

    LOL, my middle finger posts have always been a signature eh. Ya, bow's and arrows is the way to go. I would have preferred to use my bow to take that deer, but I just didn't want to risk it. It's 15 years old and the cables are stretching and that makes for inconsistent groupings. I couldn't afford to buy the bow I wanted to this year, so I was relegated to using my arthritis standby, my crossbow.

    So far we've only had two meals of venison, the first was SCB's patented peppered venison over egg noodles, and last Sunday we had stakes smothered in wild mushrooms I picked while out hunting.

    I'm actually going back out this afternoon. We still have Doe tags to fill. And with money as tight as it is, adding that meat to the freezer, will do us well.

    Yeah I decided to remove the colour ranks, mostly because they were never that well documented and it was just more confusing than it was useful. Instead, I think the reputation system works pretty well.

    Thanks Shadow. We really really miss him. Lost our cat on Sept. 14 and now our "Buddy". Haven't made up our minds if we will get another dog but I don't think we will. We've had to say good-bye too many times to pets now and we just aren't sure we can do it anymore. Our house is alarmed which helps us make up our mind. I'm sure that even though it's a new house we will search for him for a long time to come. We miss our cat but she's been gone for a couple of months now and we never had her in this home. I don't look at places and expect to see her like we do with our dog.
