Edit: You just better hope there weren't any Italian Nationals in the car or Italy will put your boys on trial.

Let's see, war zone, a group of military vehicles, repeated warnings, and finally a shot fired. Seems like they got off better than the other possible outcomes. I agree with Colpy. A war zone Darwin award.

The only difference is the information provided. If the reports do not state that warnings were issued out, then one can only go by what is given. If it does state that the US, Canadian, or any other troops gave warnings and attempted to prevent the situation from occuring, then once again.... you can only go by supplied information.

The more information provided, the more informed the public can be and the less critism there might be.

We give out those warning too. Spare me the "Blow em' up and plant weapons" BS. We've been accused of being trigger happy and not giving out warnings. Just like the Canadians stated they gave warnings...the US guys state the same thing.

The difference is you want to believe US soldiers are trigger happy and Canadian soldiers aren't.

Let me give an example...

"Today...US Soldiers shot up a car of Italian special operations agents. The US Soldiers said the car failed to stop after given warning to do so."

Reaction of certain CANCON Members- TRIGGER HAPPY AMERICANS!

And...

"Today Canadian soldiers shot up a car of security guards. The Canadian soldiers said the car failed to stop after giving warning to do so."

Reaction of certain CANCON Members- Well at least we aren't like those TRIGGER HAPPY AMERICANS

Do you see what I am getting at?

America should be on trial. George Bush should be on trial. You don't seem to understand that the world doesn't like or trust America any more than it ever did. Every time an incident like this gets reported, the over-arching issue will remain for a significant period of time that America mishandled damn near everything about the events of 9/11 and the issue with Saddam Hussein....Iraq.

It's America that's making noise about military action against Iran, its America that labels nations "evildoers" and creates these situations where people have to take sides, like it or not!

You should be grateful that Canadians are in Afghanistan, if it were up to me, America and your corrupt government would be on your own.... And that's why our simpering sychophant Harper is trying to get European nations involved in Afghanistan and isn't having much luck...BECAUSE AMERICA SCREWED THE POOCH!

Don't throw up your hands in mock dismay, you people brought this on yourselves. Are you guilty of maintaining the dynamics that led up to the criminal atrocities of Al Qeada in New York? YES Are you guilty of pouring trillions of dollars into oppressive regimes YES...Are you guilty of invading without sound intelligence and good reason...YES....

And now the whole world has to pick sides. Manifest Destiny and the RED Menace...big difference I'm sure in your mind but little difference to the world.

You know what Wolf...they aren't stupid...they're Mavericks. They are armed in a warzone and are making BIG BUCKS.

This is not a post to zing you. Funny how we have to be clear about that sometimes.

They are most likely former military from all over the world. The US isn't the only country that has "Security" companies. They are adventure seekers and in these places are not bound by much law.

Even a maverick can understand the word "HALT!" Does more money than brains cancel out the wisdom in beware of security perimeters and low-flying bullets? Vandooz security is legendary.

Woof!

I guess this would explain why you avoided my "Winter Solder" thread which talked about exactly the above in Iraq directly from US soldiers. In case you missed it:
