Is it like “A boy named Sue” that went through BUDS as a man but now is a woman? If so do we give the name that was used then or the name used now? Is this one of those questions?

A buddy from the Legion made her way through. One of the first or the first female medics in the CF. Goes by Rocky. Awards from the Queen and all that shit. If you were only half the man she is I'd tip my to hat to ya.
Actually, the US Rangers have recently lowered their standards for women to join. I only have one problem with women in combat roles and it has nothing to do with whether they're capable because several of them have already proven they are. It's what happens to them if they get captured that's the problem.
Up to 14 per cent of the more than 2,200 Canadian special forces personnel are women, a percentage Maj-Gen Rouleau said he wants to increase to 25 per cent.
That figure would be in line with the overall direction of the Canadian military, which has set the same goal.
"We're an equal opportunity employer," said Rouleau. "We'd love to have more women in the force."
Rouleau noted a handful of women currently serve in both the special forces command and the unit that responds to chemical, biological and radioactive incidents.
A few have even tried out for JTF-2, but none have gone on to take the training course, because they failed to qualify, he said.

Yeah, but how many women would actually be serving in combat roles? For most modern armies and air forces only 10% of the personnel do the actual shooting. The rest are "REMFs"
Yeah, I wasn't at all suggesting they were incapable, especially in the case of Slavic women (and men) who were fighting to survive a war of extinction against them. That can be kind of a motivating factor. But I'm talking about Western militaries whose opponents tend to be pretty fucking uncivilized when it comes to the treatment of PoWs.
