The RCMP did not interview Prime Minister Justin Trudeau before concluding that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate a criminal offence in the SNC-Lavalin scandal, top officials confirmed in a House of Commons committee hearing on Tuesday.

In fact, the federal police interviewed only four individuals, one of whom was former justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould, and they did not even attempt to get Trudeau’s testimony.

The revelation raised eyebrows among Conservatives at the ethics committee who wondered why the RCMP did not get to the heart of the allegations of political interference from the Prime Minister’s Office against Wilson-Raybould that shocked the country five years ago.

“In my over 30 years of experience as a defence counsel and a Crown attorney, I have never heard of any investigation where there wasn’t any attempt — whether they agree to interview or not — to interview the person of interest,” said Conservative MP Larry Brock.

RCMP Commissioner Michael Duheme and Sergeant Frédéric Pincince, who oversaw the investigation into SNC-Lavalin, were supposed to testify last October but the Liberals shut down the meeting because, they claimed, their appearance was confirmed at the last minute.

In fact, they turned out to be true, that Trudeau had, according to the federal ethics commissioner, broken the conflict of interest act by pressuring then attorney-general Jody Wilson-Raybould to grant a deferred prosecution agreement to the Quebec company.

What if this un-naming drags out to about October 20th, 2025 or so? Or longer? Who do you know who you shouldn’t vote for if it happens to be your MP from your riding in bed with a foreign government?

So, they'll be running lots of negative ads. Somehow, this government has managed to increase the civil service while making it even lazier and more incompetent. I'll just pause here so we can all reflect on that. How dare we ask them to come in and do their jobs three days a week?

If the Conservatives & NDP & Bloc are all asking for these names to be released, as opposed to the Liberals… when they say that some MP’s (& potentially senators) are involved in foreign interference… it makes you wonder in what capacity?

Conservatives involved like Erin O’toole as victims of Chinese/Indian/Iranian/etc… interference? Or MP’s benefiting from it? Until the names are released, EVERY MP is cast with this odiferous stank of corruption hovering over Parliament currently, whether they’re involved or not.

Is it fair to those MPs that aren’t involved in this pustulant corruption to be painted with the same brush by not exposing those that are bought and paid for foreign actors?

To say that “This is being passed to the RCMP to investigate…” which would take years…years…”& the public learn names if they are ever charged” which, even guilty as Hell is an unlikely outcome I’d assume, is a complete and total copout…& sure as shit wouldn’t happen before the next election is called…so nobody would know for sure if their candidates are the treasonous pricks that should be swinging from a rope instead of representing in parliament?
