Aleksandr Zakharchenko has been murdered today

It has now been confirmed that Aleksandr Zakharchenko has been murdered today. You can read some of the details in this RT article here: https://www.rt.com/news/437357-head-donbass-republic-killed/
This murder really breaks my heart, but also worries and sickens me. Just like the murders of Morotola or Givi, this murder proves that there is a major, massive, problem with the DNR/LNR security services. Whether this is pure incompetence or treason I don’t know, but what is sure is that while murders of charismatic leaders happen in all conflicts this is the exception, not the rule (how many leaders were killed during, say, the Bosnian civil war?). It *is* possible to protect commanders and officials (there are special forces and services which can do that very well). When it is the rule, then most certainly something is very wrong.
Two years ago I wrote an article entitled “The Murder of Motorola – questions which must be answered” for which I was hysterically criticized by some ignorant amateurs, but the questions which I asked then remain unanswered today. Frankly, I very much doubt that they will be answered this time around either.
In my 2016 I asked the question cui bono in reference to the murders of so many DNR/LNR leaders.
Now I ask the same cui bono about the systematic denial that there is a major problem with the DNR/LRN security services.
Two years after the murder of Motorola the Novorussians have clearly not solved their security problem. This is why I can only offer the same conclusion as I did two years ago:
Ideally, the Russians should send some smart and ruthless patriot, like General Shamanov, to go to Lugansk and Donesk and read the locals the riot act (Russians generals are very good at that kind of stuff) and if they offer any resistance, just toss them out of their office (Russian generals are also good at that kind of stuff).
By now pretty much all the key Novorussian leaders and heroes have been murdered and it is too late to do anything about this. But somebody will have to take their place and it is them that the Russians need to protect now.
Living in deep denial, cheerleading and flag waving are all very good, but not when people get murdered as a result.
“With the Saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Your servant Aleksandr where there is no pain, nor sorrow, nor suffering, but life everlasting.”

Mueller Stands Strong As Trump Attacks Backfire

The latest ABC News/Washington Post poll is in line with other recent polling that shows Trump’s attacks on Mueller are backfiring.

The Washington Post reported:

63 percent of Americans support Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election, with 52 percent saying they support it strongly; 29 percent oppose the probe.

Opinions on Mueller’s work also break down on partisan lines, with 61 percent of Republicans opposing the probe but an even larger 85 percent of Democrats expressing support. Among independents, however, a two-thirds majority of 67 percent back the investigation.

Papadopoulos: Trump ‘Nodded’ at Suggestion of Meeting

September 1, 2018 at 7:53 am EDT*By*Taegan Goddard*75 Comments

President Donald Trump “nodded with approval” at the suggestion of a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a court filing that seeks leniency for a former campaign aide who lied to the FBI, the*AP*reports.

Lawyers for George Papadopoulos are seeking probation, saying the foreign policy adviser misled agents during a January 2017 interview not to harm an investigation but rather to “save his professional aspirations and preserve a perhaps misguided loyalty to his master.”

Politico: “Papadopoulos appears to have been the first person in Trump circles alerted to the fact that the Russians had access to emails that could be damaging to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.”

Russian Oligarch And Putin Pal Admits To Collusion, Secret Meetings

Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska, a close associate of Vladimir Putin, has gone on record with The Hill's John Solomon - admitting to colluding with Americans leading up to the 2016 US election, except it might not be what you're thinking.

Deripaska, rumored to be Donald Trump's "back channel" to Putin via the Russian's former association with Paul Manafort, says he "colluded" with the US Government between 2009 and 2016.

In 2009, when Robert Mueller was running the FBI, the agency asked Deripaska to spend $25 million of his own money to bankroll an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent - Robert Levinson, who was kidnapped in 2007 while working on a 2007 CIA contract in Iran. This in and of itself is more than a bit strange.

Deripaska agreed, however the Obama State Department, headed by Hillary Clinton, scuttled a last-minute deal with Iran before Levinson could be released. He hasn't been heard from since.

FBI agents courted Deripaska in 2009 in a series of secret hotel meetings in Paris; Vienna; Budapest, Hungary, and Washington. Agents persuaded the aluminum industry magnate to underwrite the mission. The Russian billionaire insisted the operation neither involve nor harm his homeland. -The Hill

In other words - Trump's alleged "back channel" to Putin was in fact an FBI asset who spent $25 million helping Obama's "scandal free" administration find a kidnapped agent. Deripaska's admitted

Considering the assassination in the Ukraine just a few days ago perhaps this exercise will go life like Iran's did in the Gulf.

There is no doubt that the relationship between NATO countries and the Eastern powers (Russia, China, Iran, etc.) has taken a very ugly turn in recent years. This is true despite the mainstream media’s deceitful insistence that Trump is selling the country out to Russia. In reality, the US and Russia are in an accelerating war in the economic sphere and in cyberspace. President Trump has only escalated tensions against Russia to an alarming degree.
As the US puts pressure on Russia, Russia puts pressure back on the US. But this tit-for-tat relationship between the two countries could soon turn into a direct military conflict. In fact, the stage for such a conflict is now being set.
The proxy war in Syria, between the US and Russia, now seems to be approaching a critical juncture, where US forces may finally meet Russian forces in battle. Up until now, only allies of Russia and the US have fought each other directly. There was, however, a very close call about six months ago when US forces killed over 200 Russian mercenaries.
The US has attempted several times to get their citizens interested in a full-scale attack against the Assad Regime in Syria but have had only minimal success. The US used news of several chemical attacks on innocent Syrian civilians to paint Assad as a monster. However, there are many who question the legitimacy of these attacks, including people in the West. Just a few days ago, the Russian government warned that US-backed rebels in Syria were planning another chemical attack to blame on the Assad regime.
Russia is not taking these potential US escalations lightly, and they look willing to help Assad win the war at high costs. We can see their seriousness by the massive navy buildup in the Mediterranean Sea. This is the Russian Navy’s largest buildup so far in the Syrian war.
