President Trump said Russia was no longer targeting the U.S., contradicting his own intelligence chief

Wednesday, July 18, 2018 1:27 PM EST

Mr. Trump’s comments were the latest in a dizzying collection of conflicting statements from Mr. Trump since he emerged from a private meeting with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia on Monday in Helsinki, Finland. And they directly contradict assertions from Dan Coats, the director of national intelligence, who has repeatedly said that Russia continues to try to interfere with American democracy.

This incoherence is the symptom of Trump's OWN derangement syndrome. (which he projects onto anyone that questions him)Also anyone that disagrees with him or insults him ( as HE perceives it) His delusions of grandiosity about himself are at pathological levels

Where did Trump say they stopped targeting the US, did the US stop targeting Russia?

The GOP is finally using some influence with this kook, maybe. I'd sure like to know who exactly is the one powerful enough to get Trump to both listen and to change his tune, neither of which he is used to doing. Maybe, it's Ivanka.
That "me speak" is lame at best. He delivered it in a stilted manner and still ended up ad libbing. The situation wasa bout a LOT more than one word. Suspect that this is the only adjustment he would agree to. Remember , he has to have HIS way.........right or wrong.. ......and in HIS mind he is "right"

The correction statement was at least somewhat intelligent. but it was no t him.

It is more than a little concerning that the leader of the US has such poor impulse control. and operates from a position of anger / resentment and an attitude of superiority ...(ill founded)

He has a big mouth, TALKS tough and bully like............. ABOUT others...........and when he meets tehm inperson he is NOT confrontational........or reverses his position.

How can anyone rely on this kind of "leader" ??

The biggest threat to American democracy is the government.

In face of opposition, Senate abandons plan to vote on Trump's judicial nominee Ryan W. Bounds

Moments before a scheduled vote Thursday, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced that the nomination would be withdrawn.

Trump had tapped Bounds for a seat on the the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, but Bounds faced widespread criticism for articles disparaging multiculturalism that he wrote more than 20 years ago as a Stanford University student.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), the chamber's lone African American Republican, told reporters he had concerns about Bounds's writings.

Trump lashes out at European Unions massive Google fine, citing it as evidence that he is right about E.U.s unfair

I told you so! President Trump tweeted. The European Union just slapped a Five Billion Dollar fine on one of our great companies, Google. They truly have taken advantage of the U.S., but not for long!

Trump is using the E.U.s $5.1 billion antitrust fine on Google for practices on its Android mobile platform as evidence for what he has been saying about Europes exploitation of the United States on a variety of matters, including trade and nations contributions to defense spending.

Trump on Wednesday promised tremendous retribution, particularly on European-made cars, if the E.U. doesnt change its trade policies, and he has raised doubts about the U.S. commitment to NATO.

Some more shit on the news tonight about another example of Trump's philandering ways in the past before becoming president. Don't know why they report this shit. He belongs to a large group including Warren Harding, F.D.R., D.D.E., J.F.K., Billy Clinton and God knows how many others.

You're right. The press said not one single word about Clinton's philandering.

The philandering is jsut part of the story...as the fact that Cohen kept tapes of his discussion with Trump.......and the FBI has them now....... who knows what else will be revealed.

The bigger story might be when we learn details of Trumps business dealings and financial history......that involves Russian money........ and that this is probably why Putin has his claws in Trump.. (plus whatever else Putin could get on the man.). Putin has trump by the short hairs.......and that is affecting how Trump handles Russia .......and with such deference and bias . Everyone knows that Trump is immoral ,unethical cad. Putin KNOWS Trump better than Trump knows himself. and A Bout him ........ he has made it his business........as in a way Trump is Putin's "investment" now.(but only as long as he is useful to him)

Fascinating and unscripted.

The important point that many people seem to be missing is Trump just thrives on all the news coverage he's getting, especially since the news people aren't the least bit sure of what the truth is. Can't they see that Trump is 'playing' them?
