Trump Is Now Claiming He Meant To Say The Opposite Of What He Said When He Sided With Putin

Yesterday, Trump betrayed his country, our allies, and the intelligence agencies in his first joint press conference with Vladimir Putin. Now he’s trying to call “backsies” and it would hilarious if it weren’t so sad.
After a punishing night of terrible reviews over his weak performance at the press conference where Trump sided with Russia against his own country, our dumb president desperately tried to do damage control. His new story is that he DID NOT, in fact, say Russia didn’t meddle in the 2016 election. (Yes, really.)

“I came back and I said ‘What is going on? What’s the big deal?’ So I got a transcript, I reviewed it. I actually went out, I reviewed a clip of an answer that I gave and I realize there is a need for some clarification. It should’ve been obvious, I thought it would be obvious, but I would like to clarify just in case it wasn’t,” Trump said.
This is where Trump starts reading from his prepared remarks presumably typed up for him by his embarrassed staff.
“In a key sentence in my remarks I said the word would instead of wouldn’t,” Trump said, again, a day after he definitely said the exact opposite in a joint press conference with Putin. “The sentence should have been: ‘I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia,’” Trump lied. “Sort of a double negative.”
“I think that probably clarifies things pretty good on itself,” Trump went on to say, clarifying nothing except the very low opinion he has of the intelligence of the American people.

The GOP is finally using some influence with this kook, maybe. I'd sure like to know who exactly is the one powerful enough to get Trump to both listen and to change his tune, neither of which he is used to doing. Maybe, it's Ivanka.

Trump, Obama and other high-profile Twitter users expected to see significant drop of followers as company purges fake accounts

The social media service said it would begin removing large numbers of Twitter profiles that had been included in peoples follower counts even though these profiles already had been frozen by the companys security team for suspicious behavior.

The move by Twitter is the latest in a series of hard choices that the company is making to prioritize cleaning up its platform rife with spam, trolling and other questionable practices over metrics that inflate the services popularity. The company said the effort would affect about 6 percent of follower counts across the service, which has 336 million users logging in monthly.

Twitter appeared to be getting a head start on the purge Tuesday night: President Trump lost about 100,000 of his 53.4 million followers, and President Obama lost about 400,000 of his 104 million followers.

Trump says "big results will come" with Putin

U.S President Donald Trump said Wednesday he got on well with Russian President Vladimir Putin at their summit in Finland and "big results will come".
"So many people at the higher ends of intelligence loved my press conference performance in Helsinki. Putin and I discussed many important subjects at our earlier meeting. We got along well which truly bothered many haters who wanted to see a boxing match. Big results will come!" he said on Twitter.
Trump sought on Tuesday to calm the storm over what critics said was his failure to hold Putin accountable for meddling in the 2016 U.S. election, saying he misspoke in the joint news conference in Helsinki.
