From the photos I've seen, there were more like millions in the US alone. And they were not just anti-Trump. They were about rape culture, missing and murdered women, equality, justice and so much more. They happened all over the world but of course MSM didn't give it much coverage as usual. Must maintain the status quo after all.
OK fine - perfectly legitimate issues. But where are they with regards to FGM? Honor killings? I didn't see them marching in the street to support the young girls who are facing those issues.
If you're going to protest about how women are being treated (and I confess, I believe we're treated quite well because we've earned it through the things women before us fought for) then you need to include everyone.
Seems to me these women don't have better things to do because they don't represent me nor those who are facing FGM and the possibility of being murdered because they want to simply live life their way. Until EVERYONE is represented, then NO ONE is represented and these women are hypocrites!
Someone asked about the other "599"? Like me, hopefully, they write to their representatives imploring them to fight against barbarism some women face each and every day; that the courts ensure that the perpetrators of these horrendous acts are jailed and the key thrown away; that our immigration "booklets" be re-written (as the Conservatives did) stating that FGM and honor killings were illegal and would be treated harshly in this country. Those are the things that these women should be "marching" for and not some, for the most part, non-issues.
